Pokémon Go Battle League Season 9 was confirmed to begin on August 30, just before the introduction of a new series on September 1. A handful of new changes are happening for this cup, such as several changes to the moves coming into the game. There's only one new move for Season 9. It's a Normal-type weather ball.

All Weather Ball Attacks, Crunch, Lightning Cannon, Sunburn, Feather Dance, and Mega Horn have been changed for Season 9.

Nidoking, Poliwrath, Heracross, Manectric, Castform in normal form, and Cofagrigus will have new attacks.
