
As you explore Pokémon Go and play, you will earn field research activities that you can complete as you walk. You will acquire these field research activities by spinning PokéStops. Additionally, during the Heritage Season Power Plant event, there will be several exclusive Field Research Missions that you can get to earn specific rewards before the event ends. These are all the Power Plant Field Research tasks and rewards in Pokémon Go.
The power plant will be from January 19th to February 1st. After the event ends, these exclusive field research tasks will no longer be available.

These are all the Power Plant Field Research tasks and rewards you can earn during the event.
- Catch 5 Electric-type Pokémon - Rewards: Encounter with Electrike, Joltik, or Elioptile
- Perform 3 throws of curved balls - Rewards: encounter with Magnemite or Voltorb
- Take a Snapshot of a Savage - Rewards: 25 Mega Manectric Energy
- Walk 1 km - Rewards: Meeting Elioptile
- Walk 2 km - Rewards: meeting with Garbodor
- 4 km walk - Rewards - Emolga meeting
Popular field research activities include Catch five Electric-type Pokémon, Walk 1km, and Walk 4km. The first two both feature the debut Pokémon for the event, Elioptile. While it appears in the wild, catching more Helioptile is never a bad thing. The other, the 4km Walk, will be great because it features Emolga, a Pokémon that appears in this event and is only available for this field research task.
