You can get the materials as follows:
- By completing the various camps
- By destroying and plundering ships
- By recovering resources at sea
- Exploring both the mainland and the seabed
When you run out of life bar on a rival ship, you can either decide to sink it, recovering some of the resources it had on board from the remains at sea, or board and eliminate its crew, and then retrieve some treasure present before sinking it completely. .
Of course we advise you to proceed in the latter way, by doing so you can also recover new equipment as well as restore the vital bar of your hull. Once you have the required materials, from the Pause menu go to Ship and press A or X on what you want to upgrade.
As for the crew members or lieutenants (each with different characteristics), you can recruit them in the course of the adventure, with the exception of the co-star of Assassin's Creed Syndicate and the murderous crew, which can be purchased through the store ubisoft, with coins obtained from completing objectives.
