Several months after the game was originally released on Playstation 4 as a timed exclusive, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remaster is now available on the Playstation Store for free as part of the August Playstation Plus games. Alongside Fall Guys: Infinite Knockout, arriving on August 4th.
The remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released on April 1st as a timed exclusive on Playstation 4 until April 30th. Now, by taking part in what is a fairly sizable range of good Playstation Plus games over the past few months, Playstation Plus owners can download the game completely for free.
Fall Guys is a completely new game that will arrive on Playstation Plus as soon as it is released. Taking shape as a huge party game, 60 players will be involved in a single competition to find out who is the best, a bit like Mario Party but entirely minigames and with player counts multiplied exponentially.
Although Modern Warfare 2 Remaster and Fall Guys will both be released on different dates, both games will be available for free throughout the month of August, until August 31st. So, if you wanted to see what Modern Warfare 2 looks like on a Playstation 4, now is your best chance if you haven't gotten the game yet.
Of course, Modern Warfare 2 doesn't have multiplayer either, as Activision is still focused on bringing classic multiplayer maps from the original Modern Warfare games to 2019's Modern Warfare (though rumors have said otherwise).
But, if you're one of those rarities who actually play FPS games for the story (what little there is), Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remaster is here for you. With great bits and an action-packed storyline, it's definitely a great way to kill a few hours.
Once again, both Modern Warfare 2 and Fall Guys will be available until August 31st, though Fall Guys won't be out again until August 4th. There are still no words on Modern Warfare 3 Remaster, although with the success of the first two we may see something about it from Activision in the near future.
