The upcoming Raid Passes are coming Pokémon Go. These nifty items allow players to take part in raids without being in close proximity to the facility, which connects to real-life buildings. However, due to the current state of the world due to COVID-19, many people have been asked to stay in their homes and not leave to help flatten the virus curve. Now, players can use the Remote Raid Pass to take part in the raids they see on their map.
To celebrate the release of this item, developer Niantic will have a variety of special five-star raids made available in the game. These raids will run for a full week, with a new Legendary Pokémon featured during each intermission. Right now, this is the current schedule:
- From April 28 to May 5, there will be five-star raids with the legendary Dark-type Darkrai.
- From May 5th to 12th, there will be five-star forays with the legendary Altered Forme Giratina type Ghost and Dragon.
- From 12 to 19 May there will be five-star raids with the legendary Grass and Fighting-type Virizion.
All of these raids start at 13pm and go until 00pm in your time zone.
If you want to use a remote Raid Pass during this time in Pokémon Go, you will first have the chance to get them a special pack available in the Pokémon Go game store. You just need to use 1 PokéCoin to receive it. The package includes three remote Raid Passes. To use them, you need to be able to see a raid on your general map. If you do, click on it and you can join, next to any friends who are in physical proximity or who are also using Remote Raid Passes.
Each of these Legendary Pokémon will not be easy to defeat. You will need a handful of instructors to help you catch them. During these times of events, you also have the chance to catch the brilliant version of each legendary.
