2.84 VERSION

  • Stability fixes to improve Fortnite.

The patch notes above are taken from the not-so-generous PS4 update history. We await further confirmation from Epic Games on what exactly the new Fortnite update does. Rest assured it at least addresses "stability," which means you should enjoy a more consistent experience across all game modes.

In the Fortnite Community Trello, top priorities for Fortnite Battle Royale include an issue with the Silver Surfer Board that sometimes causes PS4 and Nintendo Switch systems to crash.

Sometimes the glider audio of the opponents is also missing, which of course means that they can sneak up behind you without being heard.

Issues with purchasing or gifting the Chapter 4 Season 2 Battle Pass are also being investigated. This is obviously a big deal for Epic Games, as this is one of its ways to generate revenue from players.

It's unclear if today's new update fixes any of these issues, but we'll make sure to let you know as we learn more.

In other Fortnite news, the iPhone season 4 update release date has been postponed. Here's what you need to know.

Additionally, there are some rumors circulating regarding a potential Spider-Man skin. Here are the latest news.

We hope to receive a Fortnite 2.85 update soon, with lots of new content for players to enjoy. Even though we're just starting a new season, I know this community is always on the lookout for the next big drop in content!
