"The Catch", is it worth getting?
"The Catch" is a spear (polearm) rarity 4 stars completely free, therefore untied from any banner and from the gacha mechanics of Genshin Impact, which can be obtained exclusively thanks to fishing. Specifically, you can add it to your arsenal only if you have unlocked the Inazuma region, therefore after reaching at least Adventure Rank 30 and completing the main narrative arc of Lyue. If you have met these requirements you can get the weapon by purchasing it from Kujirai Momiji, NPC of the Fishing Association who is near the entrance of Inazuma, in exchange for some fish, namely: 6 Raimei Angelfish, 20 Golden Koi and 20 Rusty Koi.
Even the ways to upgrade "The Catch" by increasing the Refinement Rank are different from usual. In this case, in fact, it is not necessary to "sacrifice" the duplicates of the weapon (which at the moment it is not possible to obtain) but it is necessary to use the "Ako's Sake Vessel", a special material that can also be purchased from Kujirai Momiji in exchange for 3 Raimei Angelfish, 10 Pufferfish and 10 Bitter Pufferfish each. In total, 4 units are needed to fully upgrade the weapon. In short, if you are interested in both obtaining the polearm and maximizing it, you will have to catch fish in large quantities and invest a lot of time, given the long respawn times required to repopulate a Genshin Impact fishing spot. But it's worth it?
In our opinion absolutely yes, especially if you are a "free-to-play" player and cannot afford to waste "wishes" on banners to get 5-star rarity weapons like the Engulfing Lightning. "The Catch" basically increases the power ofElemental Burst by 16% and the critical chance of that move by 6%. Once fully upgraded, these bonuses reach 32% and 12% respectively. Additionally, the weapon's secondary stat increases Energy Recharge (from a minimum of 10% to a maximum of 45,9%). In short, more Elemental Burst and with greater power, a really good bonus for a free spear and that you can use very well with Raiden Shogun, but also with "low-budget" characters like Xiangling.
Where to find the Raimei Angelfish, Golden Koi, Rusty Koi, Pufferfish and Bitter Pufferfish
As mentioned above, to get and maximize "The Catch" you will have to work hard with the fishing mini-game by Genshin Impact. First, you need 6 Raimei Angelfish, 20 Golden Koi and 20 Rusty Koi to purchase the weapon.
I Raimei Angelfish are located in the fishing spot located near the wrecks that are east of Tarasuna, in the Inazuma region, here is the precise point in the official miHoYo interactive map. This species only appears between 18:00 and 06:00 and requires "False Worm Bait". This is the only area where it is currently possible to fish for this species.
I Golden Koi and Rusty Koi luckily they appear in multiple fishing spots in the Lyue, Mondsdat and Inazuma regions, which you can view here. Both are attracted to the "Fake Fly Bait".
To get the 4 units of "Ako's Sake Vessel" needed to maximize "The Catch" you will need a total of 12 Raimei Angelfish, as well as 40 Pufferfish and 40 Bitter Pufferfish.
