Mimikyu is very difficult to obtain, but you can start by looking in the wild area. You will have a chance to come across this mysterious looking Pokémon near the Giant's Mirror. To further increase the creep factor, Mimikyu will only spawn when the weather is Foggy. If you get to the area and it's not the right time for this particular Pokémon hunt, you can choose to try changing it by changing the time on your Switch.

To change the time on your Switch, follow these steps:

    • Go to System Settings
    • Scroll down to the System tab
    • Click on Data and time
    • Change your time zone
    • save it modify

You need to change the time only in approximately two or three hour increments. Keep in mind; there is no guarantee that the next weather cycle in the area will be Fog, so keep changing that until you are lucky.

Additionally, Mimikyu is an incredibly rare spawn, so you may be looking for some time, as it has a spawn rate of less than five percent. On the plus side, the area has many other interesting spawns. You can expect to see the likes of Milcery and Impidimp while you are looking for Mimikyu. I'd suggest capturing every Milcery you see, as you'll need a lot of them to get all forms of Alcremie.

If you're feeling lucky, you can also try to get Mimikyu in a Raid Max Battle, though, again, the chances are pretty slim. Getting your hands on this particular Pokémon will require some patience, no matter how you try to do it.
