Where to find fossils in Pokemon Sword and Shield

How to get the fossils

The first thing you need to do to get Dragozolt, Arctozolt, Dracovish and Arctovish is to find the Fossils. You can find the first set of fossils on Route 6, as you make your way to Stow-on-Side. You will pass some Diglett sculptures and this will let you know that you are approaching. You will have to climb some stairs and you will come to a campsite. Next to the campsite there will be a woman named Cara Liss with a strange car. You will see a rock with something sparkling on it, and this is where you get your first fossil.

When you have it, you can reach Stow-on-Side and talk to an NPC in the Pokemon Center. He will give you another fossil. Where it gets interesting is that Sword and shield only have two fossils each. If you want to get all four, you will need to give the fossils to a Pokemon and then trade them with a player who is willing to trade you with the other fossils.

The Drake and Fish fossils are exclusive to Scudo, while the Bird and Dino fossils are exclusive to Spada.
