How to get Karrablast and evolve it in Pokémon Sword and Shield

How to get Karrablast and evolve it in Pokémon Sword and Shield

There is a Pokémon army where you can find Pokémon Sword and Shield. One of them is Karrablast, a Bug-type Pokémon. Many are looking for it to evolve into its final form, Escavalier, a Bug and Steel-type Pokémon.

The best places to find little Karrablast are by investigating these Sword and Shield areas:

    • Bridge Field when covered
    • Giant's Cap when covered
    • Hammerlocke Hills when it rains or during a thunderstorm
    • Motostoke Riverbank when it rains
    • Route 7 in any weather

Browse any of these locations long enough, and you should come across a Karrablast. They aren't too hard to find, especially when you know when to look. We recommend that you fight it like any other Pokémon by damaging it to make it weak enough to catch. When you have it in your collection, you are ready to start considering when you want to evolve it.

There is a unique method of evolving Karrablast. Yes, you have to trade it, but you have to trade it with a trainer who will give you a Shelmet, another Bug-type Pokémon. If you only trade Karrablast with a friend and they don't give you Shelmet, it won't work. You need to meet these requirements to make sure this happens. When you're done, turn the two Pokémon back into their respective trainers and you're good to go.
