When you insert the Rotom Bike Pokémon Sword and Shield, you will feel like you are speeding up the game. Unfortunately, this wears off pretty quickly and you'll want to go even faster. If you hold B, this will give you a speed boost, but it will drop and have a cooldown. Thankfully, you can reduce this cooldown by talking to a Watt trader.
While traveling in the wilderness, there are several NPCs throughout the region, near the city entrances or the day center. The Watt Trader is wearing a black and white sports suit and can sell you some essential items. You can find Watt traders in the following locations:
- Watt Trader at the Meetup Spot
- Watt Trader presso Dappled Grove
- Watt Trader presso East Lake Axewell
- Watt Trader a Hammerlocke Hills
- Watt Trader al Giant's Seat
- Watt Trader al Giant's Cap
If you ask him to upgrade your bike, he's happy to do it for 1000 watts at first. You can get three buffs, and each reduces the cooldown of the buff.
- First update: 1000 watts
- Second update: 3000 watts
- Third update: 5000 watts
If you're wondering why anyone would spend their hard earned Watts on this, then wait until you're done with the story and try filling your Pokédex. There are so many trips around, hunting for Pokémon and restoring areas that being quick will waste a lot of time on your various attempts to catch hard-to-obtain Pokémon.
