Obtain the Amulet Coin
The amulet coin is a helper item that doubles your prize winnings, so getting it as quickly as possible is a good idea. You can get the Amulet Coin in Hearthome City in Friendship Square. You'll need a cute Pokemon, but the good news here is that your starters and their evolved forms will matter. Head north and you will find some ruins and there you will find the amulet coin. Just give it to a Pokémon on your team and you'll start earning double the money from your battles.
Luck incense
The incense of luck will also double your winnings from battles. You can find it on Route 204 but you will need to learn Rock Smash and Surf HM.
- Rock smash - This is found by visiting Oreburgh Gate. A hiker will give you the ride to the entrance. However, it's not usable until you beat the first gym.
- Surf - Found in Celestic City after defeating Team Galaxy in the Ruins. Look at the paintings on the walls and Cynthia's grandmother will come in and give you Surf.
Head inside the cave at the Ravaged Path on Route 204, then surf the first pool to turn left. Just follow the path here to get to luck incense.
Combat coaches
You will have to face every manager you meet in the game to earn as much money as possible. A major battle is south of Hearthhome City. You will find some wealthy trainers here and you shouldn't fight them until you have obtained the coin or incense to maximize your earnings from them.
