Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the most ambitious title in the Pokémon series, set in the ancient past and introducing new variations of classic Pokémon. In order to properly prepare before traveling to the Hisui region, below is everything you need to know about the game's release time, when you can preload it, and what the file size is.
When can you preload Pokémon Legends: Arceus on your Nintendo Switch?
Legends: Arceus is already available for preloading for digital gamers on the Nintendo Switch. You can purchase the game on the Nintendo eShope and download it before the release date. Pre-loading will not make the game playable for you, it will simply make the game available to play as soon as it reaches the release date.
If you download the game from Nintendo eShop before March, you will receive a serial key for 30 heavy balls as a gift.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus Release Date - When Can You Play It?
If you have Pokémon Legends: Arceus digitally preloaded, you can play it almost instantly on release date, January 28th. Typically, a digital game becomes available around midnight the night before release day. But the time frame in the United States usually follows Eastern Standard Time, which means that players following Pacific Standard Time can play a few hours before the midnight release date.
Midnight ET is typically 21:00 PM PT, so if you live in the Pacific Time Zone you may be able to play early. However, sometimes this doesn't always work with some games, so you may have to wait until midnight.
File size of Legends: Arceus
The Pokémon Legends: Arceus preload file won't take up too much space on your Switch. Early signs show that the game pre-load is 6GB, although that doesn't include any potential Day 1 patches the game might receive on release date. We will have a better understanding of the game's full file size when it releases on January 25th.
