Heracross is a surprisingly decent Pokémon that you can use in Pokémon Go. It won't have too much competition in the Grand League, but you can expect to meet it in the Ultra and Master Leagues. Unfortunately, it is a region-exclusive Pokémon that only appears in South America. You will need to catch it here or when spawning around the world during any special event. Heracross is a Bug and Fighting type Pokémon. It is weak against Fairy-type, Fire, Flying, and Psychic-type attacks, but is resistant to Bug, Dark, Fighting, Grass, and Ground-type Pokémon. He doesn't have the most resistances, but as a Fighting type, he has plenty of attack power to show off during a battle, making him a useful fighter.

Heracross doesn't have too many attacks you need to worry about; deciding the best quick moves and loaded moves is pretty straightforward. When it comes to quick movements, we highly recommend using the counter bug versus fighting. The counter will provide Heracross with more energy each time you use the attack, and it's a faster move overall, meaning Heracross can deal heavy damage pretty quickly.
When it comes to loaded moves, you'll be able to pick two to use for Heracross. We recommend that you grab close combat and the mega horn. While earthquake is always a good choice due to the amount of damage it does, megahorn can cope with that damage, and it's even better because it gets a STAB modifier from Heracross and doesn't cost that much energy. The melee charge move is always a good choice for any Fighting-type Pokémon, so it makes sense for Heracross to learn and do incredible damage for just 45 energy points. The downside is that it lowers Heracross' defense.
