The Walkthrough of Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness

Chapter 1

Nameless Wilderness
This is a level in which you "simply" have to proceed to the elimination of groups of enemies in series. Etna will tell you about the "Evilities", that is the specific abilities of each character - we recommend that you pay attention to the moment of character creation, since they can greatly influence (for good, if chosen with care) the continuation of the mission.



Tainted Soil & Silent Death Land
Here you will have to solve two Geo puzzles: first of all it will be necessary to throw all the geo symbols towards the red panel. So, you have to attach the blue symbol. Flonne will tell you about the new "Likeability" feature, which modifies the abilities already entered, as well as the probability of completing a combo during an attack. For the rest, you will have to limit yourself to overcoming standard fights.

Withered Local Pride
As for the Geo puzzle, you must first destroy the red symbol, therefore the "null" symbol. As an alternative, you can throw the red symbol towards the blue panels, then attack the red symbol to completely free the game area from enemies, then making a combo.

Chapter 2

Unmoving Land & Cold Breath
To complete the first level, you don't have to do anything special, just eliminate all the opponents present. Moving on to the next level, you will instead have to solve a Geo puzzle, which requires you to pulverize the Geo symbol of type "Null". Watch out for the monsters in this area, as they will be extremely active and will try to chase you throughout the level. We recommend keeping them on the red "squares", which halves their attack capacity.



Ice Demon Grave
Throw a Prinny near another similar subject during the first turn. In this way, all the prinnies will explode, leaving only the wizards in the area. Wizards are exclusively of the fire type, so you can use water to maximize the damage inflicted on them. In addition, the prinny can be freely thrown. Warning: A wizard with 75% "amount" of fire may be able to complete the level solo.

Freezing Winds
Do not waste time with the Geo Puzzle here: it cannot be completed in any way. The level is quite complex, so don't worry if you encounter significant frustrations. The general strategy that we advise you to follow is to "spread" your group along the islands in the area; It is also not necessary that all subjects have arrived when you want to fight the boss, you can still eliminate him.

Winter Ridicule
As for the Geo Puzzle, you will have to destroy the red, green, blue, yellow symbols during the same turn. In general, during the first turn, the Alraunes will head towards the yellow cross and position themselves in the area, starting buff spells towards each other. The thieves, on the other hand, will try to reach your character directly. We therefore recommend projecting yourself towards the thieves, getting rid of them completely, and then preparing yourself for the next section. Having killed the thieves, we recommend that you reposition your party so that you can fight the Alraunes effectively. By completing the "geo" chain, only 20% of the HP will remain at the Alraunes. We recommend placing you outside of their attack range, as they will never actively move to hit you. When your group is close enough, clear all the symbols in the area to finally complete the battle.



Silver Witch
Level during which you will have to face a boss. The boss will place himself on the dragon during the first turn and you will have to start the fight. We recommend using dragons' weaknesses to your advantage - they have a 75% weakness against ice.

Chapter 3

You will now have access to the world of objects, which you will have to visit by force. If you have a wizard-woman available, take advantage of her "childish" nature of her so as to activate the regenerating evility, teaching her to heal other characters. In this way, she will allow you to survive indefinitely.

Castle Wall Defense & Heartless Main Gate
The first level does not require the execution of any special procedure, you will only have to get rid of the enemies in the area. Moving on to Heartless instead, you will have to face a Geo Puzzle here. It will be necessary to move the "Null" symbol on the green panels, then destroy the blue Geo symbol, and therefore proceed to the complete elimination of the opponents.

Evil Plans Foyer & Conspiracy Landing
The first level, as often happens now, does not require special precautions other than the complete elimination of the enemies in the area. The second, on the other hand, requires the completion of a Geo Puzzle; to do so, it will be necessary to destroy the symbol named as "Null".

Corridor of Hell
Level that requires some attention to complete. Avoid sticking the "Teal" symbol near the purple panels labeled "No Entry" - if you do, the character will remain imprisoned and will no longer have any contact with opponents, becoming essentially useless. Instead, we recommend that you raise the TEAL symbol, throwing it towards another direction among those available. As for the Geo Puzzle, wait for only the purple and "teal" panels to remain in the area; then move them (lifting them and throwing them forward) until both the purple symbol and the "teal" symbol are on the purple panels; the null symbol must instead be placed on the "teal" panels. So go and destroy the "Teal" symbol to complete the level definitively. The following scheme, "Inner Sanctum", does not require any particular effort to be completed.



Chapter 4

Ticket Booth
The level requires only the complete elimination of the opponents present in the area; as far as the Geo Puzzle is concerned, do not waste time trying to solve it, it is impossible. In general, we recommend positioning yourself along the red squares, thus exploiting the defense effect + 50%, so that you can attack starting from these panels.

Merchandise Area & Restricted Area
The first zone has no special requirements, it will only be necessary as usual to get rid of the enemies. As for the following area, you will have to pulverize the Geo symbol of type "Null".

Green Room
Here you will have to face a rather complex Geo Puzzle. You will need to move the purple Geo symbol onto the yellow Geo panel, visible in the far left corner. Then move the green Geo symbol on the 2x3 rectangle of yellow Geo panels, along the stone stairs that lead to the boss. Place the yellow panel closest to the red symbol on them. So destroy the green Geo symbol.

Concert Stage
You will also have to complete a Geo puzzle here. It will be necessary to lift the yellow Geo symbol, throwing it on the green Geo symbol. The boss will never move from his fortress; try to stay outside his attack range, initially dealing with his henchmen. When you have eliminated them, you can move on to destroy the boss by making all your characters converge towards her, who will now have their hands free.

Chapter 5

Sinful Road
To complete the level, it will be essential to have a wizard with the ability to heal at long range. So take some of your not particularly "useful" characters to the top of the nearby tower, destroying all the Geo symbols. The rest of your characters will have to take care of finishing the other "standard" subjects.

Ghostly Daydream
Here, too, you will have to face a Geo Puzzle. Place the Geo "Null" symbol on the green panel. So place the green geo symbol on the red panel. So destroy the green geo symbol. In case you are not strong enough to be able to eliminate everyone present, we recommend that you be transported to the tile on the back of the map, while holding the geo symbol, therefore trying to cause a decrease in the defense of the archers (-50%) or destroying them completely in an explosion.

Scale of Good&Evil
To successfully pass the level you will need to have some units capable of launching. We recommend that you launch units on the island, or raise the blue geo symbol, while positioning yourself on the blue panel to project yourself from zone to zone.

The Floating Lands
Again, you will need to have some units capable of "launching". We recommend that you launch your group towards the upper left area to get rid of the runic knights. So, get carried away by the teleportation panels, to prevent the Reapers from reaching you.

Boundary of Darkness
Here, too, you will have to face a Geo puzzle. To complete it, it will be necessary to destroy the Geo symbol named "Null". The map requires you to maximize your speed when traveling, as enemies can quickly level up which makes them difficult to eliminate for you. We therefore recommend creating a tower consisting of four or five units, so as to pulverize the "offensive" panels created by your opponents.

Celestial Gate
Again, there will be no special requirements required to complete the map; however, you will have to successfully finish a Geo puzzle. First, throw the Geo "Null" symbol towards the red panel. Then throw the "Red" and "Teal" symbols towards the green panel. Then destroy the red symbol.

Chapter 6

Frightening Forest
Here too, there will be a Geo puzzle to complete. You will therefore have to destroy the blue Geo symbol, thus managing to create the chain of the greatest possible length. The level is one of the best to level-up; the opponents are in fact all aggressive and equipped with a bonus that allows you to get 50% more experience from their elimination; however, they are not particularly strong, so you can easily eliminate them.
We recommend using your strongest character initially, thus lifting him towards the top of the tower, attacking each time you lift. This kind of tactic allows you to improve the level of entire groups of units.

Momentary Bravado & Despairing Silence
The first level does not require particular methodologies to be completed, you can limit yourself to killing all the opponents present. Moving on to the second, however, you will also have to go to complete a Geo Puzzle: place the red, yellow and blue symbols on the blue panel; then place the "Null" symbol on the yellow panel, and destroy the yellow geo symbol. Therefore, place geo symbols in the area around you to try to interrupt any enemy movement, at the same time trying to project yourself forward using the squares in the area.

Animal Trail to Hell & Death Scream Chorus
Except for the Geo Puzzle, there are no special requirements to complete this level. As for the Geo Puzzle, you will have to throw the red Geo symbol towards the panel of the same color, and then destroy the green Geo symbol. The next level does not require any particular effort, however, except - as usual - the complete elimination of the opponents.

Chapter 7

The Fool's Ruins & Evolving Scratches
As for the first of these two levels, there is nothing peculiar to report: it will be enough to defeat all the enemies in the area. As for the second of the two, we recommend running outside and taking the geo symbols to launch on the yellow panel.

Overflowing Mirror
It will be a special level, divided into four different areas. You can choose whether to proceed to use the HP-SP switches, perform a "reverse" damage, avoid any kind of melee attack, or destroy the yellow "geo" symbols and shoot in the opposite direction from the yellow squares. Another potential strategy sees you placed on the "base" panel, firing long-range bombs at enemies in the area - strategy to be performed only if you have a sufficiently "strong" wizard to allow you to make such attacks.

Fallen Angel Requiem
To be sure of completing this level it will be necessary to have at least five units capable of lifting and throwing, or three units capable of lifting and throwing plus one unit at long range. Your units will be "scattered" around the level during the first phase of the game. The level could prove to be one of the particularly difficult "early" levels, as enemy units are equipped with long-range attacks. We generally recommend that you heal your characters before launching your units to the next island, always leaving a member of your party in the back. Generally speaking, using long range units (archer, gunner, witch) will make the level much easier, as it will allow you to heal yourself between skirmishes.

Precipitating Hatred
There are no special requirements to complete the level, however we recommend that you carry the "Recovery 20%" symbol along all the areas in the play area to make the fight easier to engage in.

Phantom's End
Here you will need to complete a Geo Puzzle. We recommend lifting and throwing the blue geo symbol towards the main island. Therefore destroy the blue geo symbol, immediately after the "encroach" effect has caused the connection between all the red panels. After completing the geo puzzle, you will therefore get a boost of 50%.

Chapter 8

Dark Impact
To solve the Geo Puzzle it will be necessary to destroy the "Null" geo symbol. The evasion effect will cover the entire map during the first moments of the game; you will also have to pay attention to the standard opponents present in the area, they are equipped with the ability "the counterattack never fails". We therefore recommend destroying the "Null" symbol to maximize the speed of completing the level.

Dark Barren Road
To complete the puzzle of this level it will be necessary to destroy the purple symbol. In general, you can often use the "Tower Throw" move to project yourself towards the tiles following the very first group, from which it will not be possible to hit the enemies, except with attacks from a distance. In this way, a single unit will remain in the zone, near the exact opposite side of the game map - unfortunately, that unit will be completely surrounded by enemies.
Given that the Baciels will not move while pulverizing the enemies in the central area, we recommend that you wait for the elimination of all the "other" enemies, and then proceed to pulverize the Baciels one at a time (you will preferably need a unit capable of eliminating three opposing units at a time). One point that can work to your advantage is the tendency of the Baciels not to attack the legendary treasure chests: you can therefore get rid of them slowly, as long as you position yourself near one of these treasure chests.

Vile Black Crystal
To complete the map it will be necessary to have at least one unit capable of lifting and launching. The succubi will not be able to move in any way, until you too will move the geo symbol called "No Entry". You will therefore have to try to hurry up in making this movement, since the succubus will level up every turn (at the fourth level they will reach an average level of experience, at the seventh they will become really dangerous). After you have reset this effect, you can complete the rest of the level in relative calm.

Fallen Destroyer
To complete this level, you will need to have at least one unit capable of lifting and throwing within five spaces. As for the Geo puzzle that you will find yourself having to solve, we recommend lifting the green geo symbol, thus throwing it towards the red geo symbol. As for the general strategy, the simplest method to complete the entire level is to use the Tower Throw to literally "launch" a unit along the map, destroying the red Geo symbol, right in the first turn. It will therefore be sufficient to pulverize the remaining enemies, positioned along the beach.

Shadow of Misfortune & Utopian Abyss
The map is characterized by a game limit of 5 turns. Consequently, we strongly recommend that you take advantage of long-range units, also to avoid having problems with the "No Lifting" and "Ally Lonely" features that characterize the entire map. In general, there are no further "peculiar" precautions that you will have to take into consideration; it will be only and generally advisable to have a large number of wizards, archers and gunners - in short, subjects capable of striking from afar.

Chapter 9

Ice Beast's Scream
After your second turn, you will notice the movement of the geo symbol called "No Entry". This way, the Golems will be able to get close to you after the second enemy turn. You will therefore have to maximize the impact of your attacks to get out of this series of hits unscathed.

Empty Blooms
Here you can choose whether to let yourself be carried away by the purple warp panels, together with the 10 warriors equipped with armor, or wait for them to head towards you. When / if you decide to wait, we recommend making an attack with Zielregen, Big Bang or an attack capable of hitting 7/9 of the playing area.

Squirming Fear
To complete the Geo Puzzle of this area, it will be necessary to destroy each Geo symbol as soon as you get close to it. This map forces you into "hand-to-hand" combat. After destroying the Geo symbol in the center of the map, you will be forcibly involved in an explosion that will cause damage to the entire game area. After that, you simply have to get rid of the enemies left in the area. Warning: each monster in this area has at least two items. In case you want to get items and then resell them, this is the right area.

Wandering Death
Here you will have to solve a Geo Puzzle. It is not difficult to solve: throw the red and yellow symbols towards the red panel. Then throw the "Null" symbol towards the yellow panel. Then destroy the yellow symbol.
You will notice how in this level, at each turn, the dominant color will change from red to yellow (and, consequently, they will also get a bonus equal to + 50% defense in turn). However, it will also be possible to use Tower Throw to launch a unit across the map, completely clearing the field in a single round.

Drift of Evil Intent & Netherworld maw
We recommend that you do not move any of your "pieces" during the first turn. In this way, in fact, the gel monsters will attack the pumpkins, only to die immediately after they have suffered the counterattack. In this way, the pumpkins will undergo the "Deprave" status, which is then rendered "inverse" by their malice. In case the change of status makes them too strong, we recommend using some "intuitive" characters to use as punch-ball.

Chapter 10

Ever Shifting Lands & Ruthless Cave
Neither of these two levels has any particular "demands" on your characters, except the usual need to eliminate opponents to complete the completion of the level.

Netherworld's Crust
To complete this level it will be necessary to have a character with a "jump" level of at least 24; if you go to conflict with the "+ 100% jump" bonus, it will be necessary to have a character with a jump level of at least 48. You must first complete a Geo Puzzle. Get rid of all the symbols in the order you go to see them. So place purple, yellow and purple symbols next to each other, then a yellow symbol on the next panel. So try to destroy the purple geo symbol. .
To be able to get the "bonus" to your jumping ability, which we talked about during the initial lines, you will have to start your turn by placing yourself on the yellow panels, which allow you to have a significant "boost". When / if you start on the outer side of the panels, you will not be able to run over them unless you have the necessary jumping ability.

Zygote of Pain
To complete the level, you will need a character capable of delivering a beam 2 shot. It will also be possible to try to keep non-player characters alive by killing ghosts and throwing the "teal" symbol at the panels that will remain exposed. Beyond that, the level will not turn out to be characterized by particularities. After passing the first group of enemies, you will have to attack a purple symbol, and throw the enemies out of the panels in the area.

Netherworld's Guts
To complete this level, it will be necessary to have units capable of crossing 10 "No Lifting" or "Ally Damage" panels, while remaining strong enough to be able to counter an enemy with a counter attack aura equal to 20% of HP of the attacker.
We recommend that you bring curators with you; Unless you are already at a much higher level than the average, you will run a serious risk of suffering fatal damage. So repeatedly snip the shamans present along the islands in the area, then continue to heal you, and thus quickly project yourself forward along the "stripes" of death. Alternatively, it will also be possible to "launch" one of your units in such a way as to completely pulverize one of the symbols in the area.

Netherworld's Guts Mk. II
There are no special requirements to complete this level. However, your "opponent" boss has a peculiar ability, which makes him very dangerous: he can in fact absorb the statistics of all the units close to him, absorbing more and more as you get closer. Therefore, to be successful in its elimination, it will be necessary to follow a structured strategy: we recommend that you download all the power of your characters towards the boss, however leaving only one free: it will have to be raised to reach the boss area. You will therefore have to repeat this "rotation" strategy, until you have surrounded the enemy with your units; you can then download a combo on the same enemy.
