The research assignments for January have arrived Pokémon GO, and one, in particular, it seems the trainers are curious. There is the usual collection of research activities that you can get by turning the PokéStops. You can hold up to three of these activities at the same time, giving you plenty of options for what to work on.
As always, activities can range from taking a snapshot of your friend to catching Pokémon or taking big shots. All you need to do to get them is to visit the PokéStops, so be sure to visit many in the next few days.
One of the tasks is to hatch seven eggs, and people want to know what the reward is to see if all the effort is worth it. The reward for this task would appear to be an encounter from Alolan Vulpix, although this has not yet been confirmed. Alolan Vulpix is an Ice-type, with a maximum CP of 883, 109 Defense, 96 Attack, and 116 Stamina. If you don't already have one, the meeting is a great reward.
Right now you don't have to worry only about the January research activities, as the special acquisition research activities are also available. These special research tasks involve Team GO Rocket and succeeding with them will earn you a fight with Team GO Rocket Boss, Giovanni.
The first research breakthrough of the year is also active, involving a Lapras with Ice Shard and Ice Beam. The Lapras Research Breakthrough will take place from January 1st, 13pm, to February 00st, 1pm PST.
Adventure Sync Hatchathon is also currently running in the game and will run until January 16th at 13pm PST. This will reward extra hatching egg bonuses, so it's the perfect time to work on those seven eggs for your field research. You will receive the following bonuses during the Hatchathon:
- x2 Hatch Candy
- x2 Stardust
- After walking 50 km you will get 50.000 stardust, 15 rare candies, a Unova stone
It's an extremely busy time in Pokémon GO right now, so it's time to walk.
