When will generation 6 Pokémon arrive in Pokémon Go?

Celebrating Pokémon Go "On the fourth anniversary, a new official image has appeared showing the Generation VI starter Pokémon, suggesting that we may see their arrival very soon. These Pokémon hail from the Kalos region and first appeared in Pokémon X and Y.

The official image, shown above, shows a variety of notable Pokémon Go references, such as the stolen Team Rocket PokéStop, Pokémon Galarian, Libre Pikachu, Reshiram and Zekrom, and upcoming Mega Evolutions. You can probably spot the three Kalos region starters, Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie. They are hidden throughout the picture, leaning towards a huge hint that we may be seeing their arrival very soon. We also get another reference to the upcoming release for Team Rock background balloons, which is expected to be released on July 7, according to a new email from Pokémon Go developers of a big day for Team Rocket.

We could likely see more Pokémon from the Kalos region arriving around the time of Pokémon Go Fest 2020. The fourth anniversary image was released to help excite the upcoming event. Its likely attendees may encounter Generation VI Pokémon during their time at the virtual event, which takes place July 25-26. After the event, these Pokémon may become readily available to everyone, and we can expect to see more Pokémon from this region becoming a more regular show for trainers.
