The Slab of Earth is one of the items you can give to a Pokémon. If you are a fan of downed types, this item is for you as it increases the power of downed type moves. This article will take some time to obtain. This is where you can find the Slab of Earth in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Brilliant Pearl.
Before you can get the land slab, you must first get the Force, Rock Smash and Surf hidden moves. You also need to be able to use them outside of battle. To use these moves outside of battle, you must first defeat the Gym Leaders of Oreburgh City, Pastoria City, and Canalave City. Once you are able to use these moves outside of the battle, go to Oreburgh Gate (the cave near Oreburgh City).
Take the path north into the Oreburgh Gate to reach a set of stairs that lead down to a room below. Head south into the room until you find a body of water. Use surf and head east to the left edge of the water. Here you will see a veteran trainer blocking a ladder. Defeat the trainer and go down the stairs. There are two elements here. The southern object is the Earth Plate.
