You will need to find exclusive items to evolve some Pokémon into Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Brilliant Pearl. Many of these Pokémon will need a Hydrestone to evolve and reach their final evolution. There are two ways to find a Water Stone in the game. The first one you can spot is on Route 213, but you can only find that. You will need to make sure you have HM Surf to get to the location. Jump into the water, look for the sailor on the right side of the rocks area, then use Surf again, keeping to the right.
The other method is to find them in the Grand Underground. You have to finish the fossil digging minigame where you have a small chance to discover them. You can increase your chances of water stones falling by collecting Diglett and Dugtrio that you find on the course and improving your score on the left side of the screen, below the map.
