How the Little Jungle Cup works in Pokémon Go

How the Little Jungle Cup works in Pokémon Go

Each new season of Pokémon Go, a distinct competition is added to the Battle League rotation to make battles more interesting for players who want to try something different. For Season 9, it will be the Little Jungle Cup. It will be offered during the Master League rotation from September 27th to October 11th. As a result, players can expect to use Pokémon they wouldn't normally use in battles. Here's everything you need to know about the Little Jungle Cup and which Pokémon you should expect to bring with you.

The Little Jungle Cup will limit players to only use Pokémon with or under 500 CP. You cannot use any Pokémon stronger than this restriction. Also, during these battles, you can only use Normal, Grass, Electric, Poison, Ground, Flying, Bug, or Dark type Pokémon. Any Pokémon of a type other than these will not be available. However, Shuckle and Smeargle are not allowed during this competition.

These options leave the pool open, but not everything is out of the question. Hopefully the choices available will give players flexibility to experiment with their roster. We have generally seen a clear winner that almost all coaches use in previous Little Cup competitions, which is never fun.

The Little Jungle Cup will be available just before the Halloween Cup in mid-October. We will be creating a list of tiers and the best Pokémon teams to use for these battles right before the competition is released on September 27th.
