Pokémon Go has another event that returns during the month of June and is the Bug Out event for 2020. The event will start on June 26 at 8:00 am and run until July 1 at 22:00 pm in your time zone. It will be a great way to give June a proper goodbye and for those looking to add a Bug-type Pokémon to your roster.
Initially, developer Niantic didn't share too many details about the event from their month-end blog post, similar to the solstice event for 2020, which runs from June 19 to 24. However, new details have been shared, and now we have a much better idea of what the Bug Out 2020 event will look like. You can expect to use your incense during to lure more Bug-type Pokémon to your location.
Bug-type Pokémon will spawn more frequently during the event, and you can hatch them from 5km eggs obtained during the event window. You can find Scyther, Venipede, Dwebble and many more. There will also be event-exclusive research activities available to catch more powerful Bug-type Pokémon. You can also find some particularly powerful Pokémon enemies in raids during the event. All trainers will also receive double the catching experience for catching Bug-type Pokémon.
These are the specific Bug-type Pokémon attracted to incense on certain days:
- Nincada will be drawn to Player Incense from June 26 at 8:00 am to June 27 at 23:59 pm local time
- Wurmple will be drawn to Player Incense from June 28 at 12 noon to June 00 at 29:23 pm local time
- Scyther will be drawn to Player Incense from June 30 at 12pm to July 00 at 1pm local time
All players will also have a chance to catch a Shiny Dwebble as they will be available during the Bug Out 2020 event.
Pinsir will also have an exclusive raid day on June 28 from 11am to 00pm, local time. Pinsir will be available for three-star raids. You will be able to purchase a Remote Raid Pass Pack available on the Pokémon Go In-Game Store for 14 PokéCoin where you can get three Remote Raid Passes.
During the event, players can expect to see Kricketot on June 30 as well due to the spotlight event taking place from 18pm to 00pm in your time zone. It will only happen for an hour, so if it pops up randomly, you can understand pretty quickly why so many Kricketots have come out to play.
