How to get Bonsly, Munchlax, Mime Jr., Mantyke and Wynaut in Pokémon Sword and Shield

Breeding in Pokémon Sword and Shield is simple. You leave a female and a male of the same Pokémon in a nursery for some time, come back and get an egg for those two. You should receive the first evolution of that Pokémon. However, you need to put in a little extra effort to acquire Bonsly, Munchlax, Mime Jr., Mantyke, and Wynaut.

It is important to note that you can use a Ditto for breeding with any of the Pokémon mentioned above.

First, you need to acquire the highest forms of the Pokémon. In the shared order initially, you need to get a Sudowoodo, Snorlax, Mr. Rime or Mr. Mime Galarian, Mantine and Wobbuffet version. Catching these Pokémon will take a long time, and you can find them all over the wilderness. You may have better luck finding them all by beating the game and gaining access to Heavy Mist, which unlocks and has the ability to spawn in the wilderness after you do so.

After acquiring all five of these Pokémon, you need to return to Hulbury. It is northeast of Motostoke, where you fight the leader of the water gym. Go there and proceed to the stands where you need to talk to the incense saleswoman. She is the blonde woman who wants to sell you a series of fragrances. Talk to her and you must have each Pokémon with these choices:

    • Sudowoodo needs Rock Incense
    • Snorlax needs full incense
    • Mr. Rime or Mr. Mime need the odd incense
    • Mantine needs the wave
    • Wobbuffet needs Lax incense

Once you've kept them in possession of all those fragrances, you can take them to kindergarten on Route 5 and have them bred as you usually would. Upon returning to the Egg, you should have children's versions of each respective Pokémon.
