Munchlax is a rare Pokémon that you can find in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Brilliant Pearl. The only way you will be able to receive it, outside of another manager offering it generously to you, is to look for a specific position in your game. It is different from the original Pokémon Diamond and Pearl games. Here's what you need to know about finding and catching Munchlax in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Brilliant Pearl.
Previously, you had to spread honey on some honey trees during the game. After waiting six hours, you went back to the tree to see it shake, hoping it was Munchlax when you approached. Pokémon only had a chance to appear in four of the 21 honey trees in the game, and it was a rare encounter.
However, for Pokémon Shining Diamond and Shining Pearl, you can find Munchlax roaming the Great Dungeon. The Grand Underground is a location that you can access after receiving the Explorer's Pack. Once you have the item, you will be able to visit the Grand Underground and explore the entire location on your own. You should encounter Munchlax wandering around the outside world area, unlike the grassy spots in the rest of the game.
We don't know how rare it is for a spawn to appear for Munchlax, but at least you can avoid trying to visit all the honey trees in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Brilliant Pearl to find one.
