The Season of Heritage: XP Challenge timed research activity offers you several unique items and exclusive encounters in Pokémon Go. Similar to the other timed research challenges you receive in Pokémon Go, you need to complete it in a timely manner first disappears and many of these challenges make your way through the game. But for the Season of Heritage: XP Challenge, it's special and a little more exclusive. Here's how to get the Season of Heritage: XP Challenge Timed Research on your account in Pokémon Go.
It is important to note that not all Pokémon Go players will receive this timed quest. The only way to unlock it for your account is to redeem your Pokémon Go Tour: Johto ticket before January 10th. You can purchase that ticket on the official event website, and you will need to grab the Gold or Silver version of the ticket. The tickets are nearly identical, but some feature a handful of exclusive Pokémon encounters and a greater chance of specific Pokémon appearing as bright versions.
After getting your ticket from the Pokémon Go Tour: Johto site, you need to log into your Pokémon Go account on your phone before January 10th. Otherwise, the ticket will fail. Also, if you lose this timer, even if you purchase the ticket, you will not receive the Season of Heritage: XP Challenge quest on your account.
Once the XP Challenge is active on your Pokémon Go account, you can start working on it to unlock all the rewards. You have until January 31 at 23:59 pm in your local time zone to complete. You will also have access to February Time Research which starts on February 1st.
