How does the Community Day Classic event work in Pokémon Go?

Starting January 22, a brand new Community Day Classic event will be available in Pokémon Go. Community Day Classic events will be a good way to ensure new mobile game players have the opportunity to try these previous events again. But how do they work? Here's what you need to know about how Community Day Classic events work in Pokémon Go.

Community Day Classic will be an event featuring a Pokémon that has already had a Community Day and will feature a Community Day move that Pokémon may already learn. While developer Niantic held Community Days with a previously used Pokémon, such as Eevee, the Pokémon had a chance to learn an alternate move from the other Community Day. This will not be the case with the Community Day Classic event. Instead, it will be a similar event to the one that happened previously, giving players another chance to try to catch a particular Pokémon and teach it the exclusive move for that day.

This event does not replace the new Community Day event already scheduled and planned. These two events will happen separately, but they are not related. Additionally, the former features Bulbasaur, which allows players to evolve it into Venusaur to learn the charge move, the frenzy plant. We don't know if there will be any more Community Day Classic events after this in January 2022. However, these events could be a good way for new players to try and grab exclusive Pokémon and moves that were around before they started playing.

Community Day Classic events come with unique tickets, dates and times, but follow the same structure as other Community Days.
