Everyone loves Shiny Pokémon, but getting them isn't always easy. While there are several ways to get Shiny Pokémon in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, there is one item that will really help players increase the number of Shiny in their collections.
The Shiny Amulet is a post-game item that players can only obtain after capturing all Pokémon in the game and filling out their Sinnoh PokéDex. There are 149 Pokémon in total that players will need to capture to access the Shiny Amulet. While this may take some time, it gives players a reason to fully explore each location in the game to get all the Pokémon they need for the Sinnoh PokéDex.
Once completed, players can travel to the Grand Lake Hotel south of Valor Lakefront. Here you can talk to an NPC on the far left of the hotel and get the shiny spell from them.
Interestingly, at the moment the lucid spell only appears to improve the chances of lucid breeding, although the spell normally offers better odds even for casual encounters. Therefore, players may decide that this time around is worth it.
