Pokémon Unite recently announced that the holiday season is coming, and the event appears to be on an even larger scale than the MOBA Halloween event. Several areas will be changed, along with new Holowear, trainer outfits, and a new Pokémon. So when does the holiday season start?
Despite being inactive for several hours on December 8 to install the update, despite that lovely new Pikachu icon, the Pokémon Unite holiday event won't start properly until December 15. The new fighter, Dragonite, will arrive in the game a few days later, on December 20th.
Judging by the trailer, the event will include several new features. Similar to the Halloween event, one of the Quick Battle stages will receive a new seasonal play style, which in this case will see the addition of Delibird, Articuno, a giant snowman and melee snowballs to Shivre City. The Remoat Stadium in the main game will also be decorated with snow and Christmas cheer, though it's unclear if any gameplay changes will accompany the design change.
Additionally, the seasonal festivities will offer highly detailed new holowear for Pikachu and Crustle, with a Santa hat or chef outfit option for most other fighters. New outfits will also be available for managers, along with new stickers and a new homepage.
