When will trading in Pokémon Go return?

When will trading in Pokémon Go return?

Pokémon Go's trading system is having some issues right now, and while it's been beneficial for players, you won't be able to trade with anyone. The problem surrounding the trading system was that every time you traded with someone, you would always get a lucky Pokémon. Lucky Pokémon are exceptionally rare, so they provide a lot of benefits. So, with trading disabled, when will trading in Pokémon Go return?

Niantic developers have not provided an exact release time when trading will return. The team is working to find the source of the bug and try to fix it. When they do, they will want to take the time to test it to make sure everything is fixed.

The bug revolves around players receiving a lucky Pokémon for each trade made. Additionally, a lucky Pokémon has its Stardust costs halved, which means that upgrading a Pokémon is much easier. This is essential for Pokémon to reach higher levels to prepare them for raid battles and PvP combat.

Trainers, the exchange is not currently available as we are investigating an issue. We apologize for the inconvenience and will continue to update here. Thanks for your patience.
