New Pokémon always make their way Pokémon Go. The last one to join ahead of schedule is Rufflet, the normal and flying type Pokémon first seen in the Unova region in the Black and White version games. Initially, the Pokémon would make its debut in the Philadelphia safari zone from May 8-10, but is now coming in an alternate form.

Those who participated in Battle League Season 1 could potentially encounter this Pokémon if they were rank 4 or higher.
For Battle League Season 2, Trainers must now be Rank 8 or higher to meet Rufflet. You must be rank 8 or higher to have Rufflet in your random Pokémon pool, and if you dive below this rank you won't have a chance to potentially catch him.
Rufflet has a maximum CP of 1491, an attack of 150, a defense of 97, and a stamina of 172. However, if you have enough Rufflet candy you can evolve it into Braviary, which has a maximum CP of 3.088, an attack of 232, a defense. of 152 and a stamina of 225. Not the best option for the Grand or Ultra League, but it is a decent choice against a particular Pokémon raid. The best moveset for Braviary includes air slash and rock slide or air slash and brave bird.
Pokémon Go's Battle League Season 2 began on May 1, but was delayed. It will have a new starting point, but once it starts, you can expect to level up and increase your chances of catching Rufflet and adding them to your collection.
