MATCH TYPES

Let's now analyze all the various types of matches that this game and I assure you that there are so many so come on .. let's start with ..

SINGLE-MATCH

I think there is no need to dwell much on this mode, after all it is the most classic. This is the single match where two Superstars of wrestling face off in a fight at the last suplex. You can also use the weapons that the referee did not notice. Be careful though because if you use the weapons three times or hit the referee three times you will automatically be disqualified. In this type of meeting you can choose whether or not to use managers. The managers are in the bord ring and basically perform disturbing action, you can in fact get them to get into the ring to protest with the referee or distract him while you with the wrestler smash a chair in the head of the opponent for example. Be careful though, because if the manager stays too long in the ring the referee may decide to move him away from the ringside!

TAG TEAM & TORNADO TAG

These are the matches in pairs. The difference between the two types of matches lies in the fact that while the normal tag team involves a one-on-one clash, with the possibility of changing athletes at any time, in the tornado tag the couple will fight at the same time in the ring.

SIX MAN DAY

As the name of the match already suggests, it is a crazy tag mode where six fighters divided into two teams of three fight. Nothing in particular to report.

HANDICAP

This is perhaps the most difficult mode of the game, in fact you will find yourself facing groups of enemies but alone. You can choose whether to play against two opponents, against two opponents in pairs or against three opponents, actually here the chances of winning are always very low.

HARDCORE

This mode is very similar to normal matches only here if you use weapons you will not be disqualified. In a nutshell, the aim is to win and to do so you can use any legal means or not, you can use whatever you will find inside and outside the ring! You can fight both inside and outside the ring, and I think the funniest thing is fighting outside the ring, where for example you can throw the unfortunate opponent against TVs, protective barriers and so on.

ROYAL RUMBLE

Who has never seen a royal rumble? I still remember a memorable edition of this show where Ric Flair won (who actually does not receive my sympathy) with a Dan Peterson (he commented at the time) who seemed to be the best Galeazzi (that of the Abbagnale commentary). Even today it remains in my opinion one of the funniest modes of this type of games. It is, as the title itself says, of the Royal Brawl, where thirty wrestlers battle it out. The first two enter the ring and after sixty seconds the third enters, then a count up to 10 starts at the end of which the fourth wrestler enters and so on until there are six wrestlers in the ring. Each time a wrestler is eliminated (for example by throwing him out of the ring) the countdown restarts from 10 and then the next participant enters until thirty athletes are reached. The last one standing in the ring wins the title.

SURVIVAL

Here, too, I don't think there is much to say. The classic survival match where the one who remains standing wins. To win you will need to perform a submission move or a classic spin.

MATCH TYPES

3 STAGES OF HELL

From the rather evocative title we understand that it is "3 levels of hell". Here you will face 3 matches in a row chosen by you, where at the end of each match you will take with you the damage suffered in the previous match even if the shots will be absorbed in a better way, that is, for each shot you will receive less damage. The winner is whoever scores 2 wins out of a total of 3 matches, so if you win the first 2 matches there will be no third.

BRA & PANTIES

This game mode only applies to women (I would also like to see). The goal of the game is to literally tear the opponent's costume (shorts and bra), interesting isn't it?

ELIMINATION CHAMBER

This is a brutal match that takes place inside a metal cage, where up to six fighters will face off at the same time. Obviously you can also use the cage itself to cause damage to your opponents, for example you can climb on the cage and then throw yourself on the unfortunates on duty. Tougher than the Royal Rumble but certainly less spectacular, here too the one standing last wins.

ELIMINATION TAG MATCH

It is an elimination pair match where to win it will be necessary to eliminate either both team members or the team captain. There are many sub-modes within this match category such as Normal Tag, Tornado Tag, or Normal 6-Tag Match, but basically nothing changes, it's always a pair elimination match.

FIRST BLOOD

Here too, the title says it all .. The first to bleed loses the match. The fastest way to win this type of match is to use weapons.

HELL IN A CELL

Hell in a cell is the toughest match in all of WWE. Basically it is a mixture between the rules of the elimination chamber (in fact you fight in the cage) and the rules of the survival match. In practice there are no rules, you can use everything and the winner is the one who performs a submission move or a winning push on the opponent. You can even get out of the cage, climb to the top and launch yourself on your opponents but be careful to calculate the flight time well or you will have a bad end!

HOMBRE DE HIERRO
One-on-one timed match where the player with the most pinpoints or submission moves wins. You can set the time to 15,30,45,60 minutes. If you are disqualified you will earn your opponent a point but you can take advantage of the time you will be out, for example if the time is running out and you are ahead by several points.

LADDER MATCH

We could define this match as a sort of greasy tree. To win you will have to recover the title belt suspended in the center of the ring, and to do this you will have to use a ladder, obviously provided that your opponent allows it !!!! The best way to retrieve is to knock out your opponent, and once he is on the ground, place the ladder, jump and attempt the belt hook!

MATCH TYPES

LAST MAN STANDING

The main objective of this mode is to win by knocking out your opponent until the referee has finished counting to 10. To achieve this, you must have one of the body indicators that are bright red. You can use both blood moves (the ones to make the opponent bleed) and weapons which are the best way to inflict damage on the opponent, then perform a finish move so that the referee starts the count. If it reaches 10, you will win!

PARKING LOT BRAWL

The scenario of the action this time moves outside, where you will have to fight surrounded by cars. In short, the machines will be your ring, and consequently you can use them to do a lot of harm to your enemy, for example by taking him with an Irish whip and dragging him running towards a car, physical pain!

SLOBBER KNOCKER

We could define this mode as an infinite survivor mode. In fact, having chosen your fighter, you will find yourself facing an infinite array of enemies, always one on one, the aim is to knock out as many opponents as possible.

SPECIAL REFEREE MATCH

Here too the title comes to our aid, the special referee match is a match where the referee is also a wrestler and you can also control him to do other damage ...

STEEL CAGE

Here we go again, again you will fight closed in a metal cage, as the title suggests. To win, you can also beat your opponent and try to get out of the cage before him.

SUBMISSION
This type of match can only be won with submission tricks, forcing your opponent to declare himself defeated. Not much more to add ...

TABLE MATCH

In short, take them at tables!

TPA

TLC stands for Tables, Ladders and Chairs, and that is tables, ladders, and chairs that may indeed have to be used in this type of match to win, so get busy!

WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON?

After analyzing what the game offers, important decisions need to be made. The first is whether you want to be a good wrestler or a bad one, and you will have to choose a style like Clean if you want to be the good or the Dirty if you want to be bad. This choice is not purely aesthetic but will influence your fighting style by affecting the moves you can make.

If you choose to fight on the side of the good (Clean) you can for example take advantage of the public to raise your Clean Meter and perform special moves such as the "Rush of invincibility" which results in a kind of limited energy boost and power, and will make you invulnerable for a few seconds to your opponent's reversal moves. Once the Clean Meter is filled you can perform some moves typical of "good" fighters such as:

1) Carry out the "signature" grips
2) Perform diving attacks
3) Perform dive attacks inside and outside the ring
4) Counterattack if your enemy attacks you with a weapon
5) Make fun of the opponent
6) Win a chop battle
7) Touch the ropes during a submission hold
8) Make a submission move while undergoing it

Conversely, if you choose to be on the side of the bad guys (Dirty) these will be some of your salient features:

1) Perform "dirty" moves such as eye pokes or low blows
2) Successfully attack the opponent with a weapon
3) Remove the protection from the pole at the corner
4) Attack the opponent while teasing you
5) Making fun of your opponent while you are out of the ring
6) Ignore the opponent's rope break
7) Attack the referee
8) Attack your partner or manager

WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON?

SOME MOVES NOT PROPERLY CORRECT

Weapons obviously play an important role in the match. Weapons are hidden either under the ring, or on the side of the ring, so if you want to use a weapon you will need to go outside the ring first. To be precise, on the top and bottom side of the ring you will find chairs, on the left side you will find tables and on the right side you will find a club! To retrieve a weapon you will have to place yourself on one of the sides of the ring and press the square. Be careful though, because obviously if you are caught by the referee using weapons you will be automatically disqualified. Also keep in mind that as soon as you leave the ring the referee will start counting up to 10 at the end of which you will be disqualified. A winning strategy for using a weapon could be to execute a running attack towards the referee to knock him out just long enough to use the weapons undisturbed. Here, too, caution is required, in fact if you use this technique 3 times the referee will think that you are doing it on purpose and automatically disqualify you. In addition, in the title matches, you can also find the champion's belt hidden. After 4 uses the weapons will disappear, so use them pretty well. The surrounding environment can also be exploited as a weapon, for example you can make malicious use of the metal barriers around the ring, in short, keep your eyes open, because almost anything can be used or pulled against your enemy / opponent ...

Even the ropes of the ring can be used in your favor. How? For example by tying up your opponent, while you can recover important energy. First exit the ring by pressing the triangle, square and d-pad in the direction of the strings. Once your opponent is close to the ropes, press the circle and your champion will try to fix the opponent right!

And finally, even the protections that cover the poles at the corners can be removed in such a way as to cause much more damage to the opponent who will hit us. To remove the protection stand in front of the pole and press square. By doing this you will win the disfavor of the public, but as they say you can't want everything from life… or not?

WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON?

YES BUT WHO ARE THE ACTORS?

You agree with the game's protagonists, but which wrestling superstars can you play as? The list is very long, the game offers in fact the beauty of fifty-two (52) playable characters, including legends of the past and current wrestlers, among the most representative and perhaps famous we can mention:
Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Edge, John Cena, Chavo Guerrero, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Rob Van Dam, Chris Jericho, Scotty 2 Hotty and many more. Among the wrestling legends you can instead check some of Andre the Giant, Hawk and Animal of the Legion of doom, The Rock, Jimmy Snuka, Bret Hart, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Brutus Beefcake and… we leave the rest to you, have fun!
