Quest: Explore the mansion

You will start the adventure as Jared. Your first quest will be to explore the mansion.
Exit your room and go up the stairs: on your right there is a staircase through which you will arrive in the attic, where you will find a broom: break it and take the handle.
Then go downstairs, and at the end of a cutscene, head to the kitchen, thus unlocking another sequence. Use the broomstick to knock down the wall, then through the dumbwaiter, you'll come to Arthur's secret office.



Quest: Spiderwick´s Secret
On the table in the center of the room you will find the key with which you will open the chest in the attic. Then go back to the kitchen, still with the dumbwaiter, and go up to the attic. Inside the crate you will find the Fieldguide, after which you will see a sequence.

Quest: A home for a Brownie
Back in Jared's room, collect the crackers on the table next to the desk. Shore in the kitchen and on the counter next to the refrigerator you will find the honey that you will need to combine with the crackers. Exit the front door and head left towards an old hut (it's the green building located between the shed and the garden).
Once you have collected the birdhouse on the workbench, continue to your right to enter the hut: on the ground you will find two spheres (they will be useful later with the slingshot).
Now go to Jared's mom's room which, up the stairs, is the first on the right. Inside, pick up the baseball bat resting on the wall and head back to the attic, where you'll break the wooden shelves (with the bat). This will take you to the studio, and after turning left twice, place the birdhouse on the desk.

Quest: Lure the Boggart
Feed Boggart the honey and crackers you collected earlier.

Quest: The Seeing Stone

As Thimbletack this time, climb up on the books and go through the hole in the wall. Turn left, and by throwing a needle at the cockroach on the wall, you will get the “Cockroaches” quest, in which you have to kill 50 cockroaches (they make a sound so they are easy to spot).
Then move forward until you come to a dead end where you will find some fruit. Go back and on the next platform, on the left, there will be a cable that you have to climb on. Then jump to the platform below.
As you continue moving forward, you will automatically grab onto a pipe through which you will reach the next platform. After repeating the action, you will notice another hole in the wall to your left.
On the other side, jump from beam to beam to reach the opposite side. Don't worry if you fall because with the cards you can climb the wall. Be careful when crossing the electrified field and you will unlock a sequence in which the Seeing Stone will be shown to you: then hit it with a needle to make it fall.
Go down the wire in front of you. Go in the direction of the white arrow, and by holding on to the pipe, you will reach the next platform. Always follow the arrows to a tunnel, at the end of which you will find yourself facing the Seeing Stone hanging from a pipe. So throw a needle and go down the tunnel near you.
After moving forward, climb up the wall using the paper. Then turn left and descend the tunnel: in front of you, on the left, you will meet another one that will lead you to a room. Here, climb up the wooden structure to the left and climbing the cable you will come to a wooden platform and then to another.
Drop down the wire and jump from can to can of paint to finally collect the Seeing Stone on top.
Now you can go back to the study where you will come out using the card and thus return to the starting point. (Check in the menu how many cockroaches you managed to kill).



Quest: Help from Simon
Go near the shed to meet Simon who will give you the sling. Aim the weather vane to scare the cat and take it off the roof.

Quest: Building a monocle
Now you will lead Simon. Go up to the attic, and once you get the lenses from the telescope, go into the studio, and to the right, take the broken pair of glasses on the table to the left of the window.
Then head to the workbench and build a monocle. Finally, talk to Jared who is waiting for you in the hall on the ground floor and you will have completed the quest.

Quest: A monocle
Back in Jared's shoes, go to the study and grab the monocle on the workbench.

Quest: The Health Sprite
In the study, on the table to the left, you will find a retina. Exit the house through the front door and follow the path to the front gate where you will catch the Leatherwing Sprite.

Quest: Through the woods

To the right of the old hut (the green building), you will find the gate that leads to the woods. Take the path on the right towards the hill. By taking the Sprites, you will unlock new quests. In one, the aim is to capture Sprites of all kinds. If you see that they are too fast, don't worry, because you can later return to the woods as Simon, who, using the fruit, manages to bring the Sprites closer.
As you advance you will come to a meadow where you will meet three Stray Sods, goblins who walk instead of flying. In the center of the lawn you will see one, while the other two are on the right side. Remember that they roam the bushes, so wait a few seconds and then they will appear. Furthermore, you can only grab them when they are dazed: therefore turn them around and catch them with the retina.
By doing so, you will also be able to collect items hidden in the bushes, such as the old coin in the center of the lawn or the basilisk feather behind one of the side bushes.
Then move forward and follow the path to the old forest road. Here follow the signs indicating Quarry. When you reach a ditch, turn around and walk along the path on your right to arrive at a pond with stone platforms. Jump on it and turn right to a log that you will push so you can pass over it. Remember to pick up the stone mouse on the ground to your right. Back at the stone platforms, if you turn left, you will find some fruit and spheres. Then cross the bridge back, past the pond with the monster, and enter Quarry.



Quest: Quarrywalls
Head to the hut near the gate - you'll find a fuse outside. Then take the path to the left and continuing you will come to a shack. Go down the stairs and move forward until you find a box where you can insert the fuse.
Then go back to the hut and break the planks to unlock the door. Inside, pick up the aluminum bat leaning against the wall. By activating the control panel, you will lower a bridge: cross it and continue to the ladder.
Go down, and at the end of the sequence, take the path near the ladder. You will arrive at a stream that you will follow, breaking the boards that prevent you from moving forward. Collect your pocket watch along the way.
Then go back and climb the rocks near the tree. With the slingshot, aim at the propellers and also at the lanterns on the tree to let out more Sprites. Finally free the hobgoblin from the cage and you will see a cutscene.

Quest: Escape the Goblin camp
As Simon, go to the fireplace and grab the metal leaf and gear. Climb up the hill and head to the pond with the monster.

Quest: Feed the Troll
Now go back to driving Jared. Unable to defeat the monster, throw goblins at him which he will eat. Don't worry if you get caught by the monster - keep hitting him until he lets you go.
Throw goblins at him ten times and you will pass the quest.

Quest: Twin aid

Follow Simon through the woods. On the way you will have to face some goblins, but Simon will wait for you and eventually lead you back to the mansion.

Quest: Sister´s Steel
Turning clockwise around the house you will encounter Mallory under a wooden gazebo.

Quest: Redcap
This time as Mallory, you will have to face the goblin in the red hat. Press A before being attacked, this will cause the goblin to lose his weapon. Hit him until he picks it up and repeat the action four or five times, thus putting him on the run.

Quest: The splattergun
Back to lead Simon, your task will be to build a splattergun. Then go to the garden where on the workbench with the empty pots you will find the spout of the rubber tube.
In the shed, instead, grab some Christmas lights for Thimbletack and some electrical tape. Then raise the basket on the workbench to make a Flower sprite fly around a tree.
Then head into the kitchen and from the bin behind the door pick up the soda bottle, while the oatmeal will be on the counter and the tomato sauce on the shelf.
Then go upstairs, and on the shelf between Mother's room and Mallory's, you'll find the salt. Then go into the bathroom and on the bathtub you will see an old pipe. Head into the studio and just outside, in front of the boxes, a bicycle pump is leaning.
Entering the study, go right and take the vinegar on the table. At this point you just have to combine all the objects to create a splattergun.

Quest: Burn the field guide / Quest: Tomato Bombs
Go down to the kitchen with the dumbwaiter and enter the small room next door, where you will find plastic bags on the counter. This way Simon will be able to make bombs with tomato sauce.
A pile of wood and a Fire Salamander are located near the shed, but don't get too close or it will explode. Instead spray it with your new weapon, grab it and place it in the garbage can. So watch the scene with your siblings.

Quest: Buried key

Go back to the hut where you found the birdhouse and take the garden spade. Then go to the other side of the house and you will meet Jared, who is looking for a key in the lawn. Keep the goblins at a distance from Jared, and once you find the key to the cellar, you'll be back in the character of Jared.
Then go to the cellar where you will find colored pencils next to the stairs. By hitting the washing machine you will get some spheres. Then break the wooden planks to continue.

Quest: Riddles in the dark
After reading the riddle written on one of the roots, catch a Royal Orchid Sprite in the cellar (if you don't already have it).
You will then need a Will-o-the-wisp Sprite which is near the shed, and finally, a Bellflower Sprite, which you will find in the courtyard near the pavilion where you met Mallory.
On the floor in the center of the room, where you read the riddle, you will notice a round stone similar to a platform on which you have to place the Royal Orchid Sprite: the platform will rise. Still on the platform, do the same with the Will-o-the-wisp Sprite which will fly from the window over the closed door. Finally go to the door, free the Bellflower Sprite and break it.

Quest: Tunnels
Go through the tunnel to a fork: turn left, and past the first exit, there will be a small tunnel on your left, inside which you will find some gobstones. Then go back to the first exit.
Outside you will have to face a troll, but all you can do is escape, crawling along a hole (on the left is a stone lizard next to an oddly shaped tree). Keep going until you fall down and find yourself face to face with the monster again, so quickly reach the ladder.

Quest: The acorn in the safe

Go through the hole in the wall, turn right and move forward (you should see a cobweb). Go over the gap with the hook, then go ahead and jump over the next gap. Turn right, jump into the circle and move forward.
Jump to the other side and then jump back to the left corner. Go ahead, and once inside the chimney, turn left, walking along the edge. Using the grappling hook, go through the hole, exiting the chimney, and jump to the lower platform.
At the right moment he crosses the electrified field by advancing clinging to the tube. Turning right, you will find yourself on the bookcase: go left up to a cockerel. Drop all the way down the wire, then advance to the lowest shelf in the library where you'll find a stamp.
Then go back and go up to the middle of the bookcase. To show you the direction there is the usual white arrow on the wall. Advance until you come to another cockerel: go down and go first left and then right towards a wooden bridge.
Always follow the white arrows on the floor until you come to electrified pipes. Again, wait for the right moment to overcome them. Climb up the cable and you will find yourself in Thimbletack's shelter: on the left you should see the combination of the safe (2826).
You just have to go back (almost to the starting point), until you meet a white arrow on the ground with a small safe drawn nearby.
Follow the direction and go to the other side by holding on to the pipe. There should be a hook in front of you. Using the grappling hook you will see a sequence in which Thimbletack opens the safe. Inside, get on the book thanks to the pile of money on your left and then to the other. At the top, collect the acorn and head to the study.

Quest: Saber
After Mallory talks to Thimbletack, Thimbletack will continue the game. Once through the hole, head left.
Then follow the same path followed in the “Seeing Stone” quest up to the electrified fields: skip them until the last one, then turn left and always continue left, jumping over the next beams. Around the corner to the left there should be a screw.
Use the grapple to go to the other side and collect the fruit. Doing so will also drop the saber that Mallory needs into the room. You should also see the last few cockroaches nearby to kill in order to complete the quest.
Finally, return to the studio.

Quest: The Goblin Purge
As Mallory, once you have collected the saber by the door of the studio, head to Quarry through the woods (follow the same path followed in the “Through the woods” quest).
Once in Quarry, take out all 20 goblins (use the goblins to help you as they increase the power of your attack).
This will show you the Red Cap that you will have to defeat.

Quest: Taming a griffin

Head into the cave behind the camp and hit the fire salamanders nest with the splattergun. Talk to the Knocker who will appear in one of the pipes, which will turn your stones into boomstone.
Throw them at the goblins and they will explode. Also be careful because the Knocker will give you the clue to find his friend. Hit five fire salamanders that you will deliver to the griffin.
Then crawl along the hole behind the cave and you'll come to the cave near the river. Head left and climb the rock right in front of you where you will find the griffin feather.
Go back to the quarry, pass the empty cage where you previously found the hobgoblin and go up the ladder. Then place the gear in the crank on the left to lower the bridge you will cross.
Thanks to the boomstones, break the wooden boards and you will find some cards to deliver to Thimbletack. He eventually shoots the lanterns to free some Sprites, then returns to the pond with the troll by the river.

Quest: The river troll
Back here, attack the troll with the splattergun to turn him to stone (you can be Simon at this stage of the game).

Back to Quest: Taming a griffin
From the pond, proceed until you reach a crossroads: take the path on the left, and after the indication of the quarry, continue to the right until you see a small hole that will lead you into the woods. Go past it, and after hitting it, take the salamander in front of you.
Continue left until a bend and you will find a second salamander - you should have five, but if one explodes, head back into the woods and more should appear.
At this point, turn around and go back, taking the dead-end path to the left where you will find the phoenix eggshell. Then go down into the hole to access the woods.
Advance, and after taking the Elven Basket near the path to the right, head to the islet in the middle of the pond. Go to the other side by passing over the log. Then climb to the top of the log to get the old coin. As you walk past the log you will find an Elfshot on the ground on the right. Also collect the stone frog located in the water under the trunk.
Finally, make your way to the cypress tree and deliver the five fire salamanders to the griffin to complete the quest.

Quest: Get back to the mansion

Come down from the cypress, you should find the cypress leaf. At this point go back to the villa. The shortest way is to go through the hole that leads to the old road in the woods and turn right. Advance until you come to a bridge formed by a log. Drop down to the road below, but be careful as there will be some goblins.
At this point from Simon you will switch to driving Mallory. Going back, cross the trunk and enter the woods from the first access on your left. Inside, head left following the path until you notice a Stray Sod Sprite near the bushes to your left - go around it to collect an old coin.
Then go back and take the path to the right near the entrance and at the end you will find a phoenix feather. From another bush, also near the Stray Sod, you will access the oak that will lead you to the tunnels, next to which the stone bird is located.
Go down the oak, then go back up and find the oak leaf. Once you get off the tree, enter the tunnels and continue to the right, passing through the hole and advancing until you return to the cellar, and finally, into the courtyard of the villa.

Quest: Goblin Battle
In the kitchen you will meet the mother intent on preparing a bomb with tomato sauce. Now you can be any of the three characters.
On the screen you will notice a tomato that will act as a timer: once the time is up, the bomb will be ready. But until then you will have to keep the goblins away from Mom, because when they attack her, the timer stops.
Once the bomb has exploded, a large ogre will appear: run to the kitchen and use the dumbwaiter behind the table to go upstairs to the study. He runs to the furniture and jumps on the bookcase to get to the window.
Outside, go left and jump to the roof - go up the ladder and you'll unlock a cutscene.
At this point in the game you will be able to complete the other quests that are still open.

Quest: International Sprite league
As Jared, collect the four letters on the front porch.

Quest: Red Hat
Still playing Jared, he talks to Hogsqeal who is in a tree on the other side of the front porch. She will tell you to bring him a red hat, which you will find in the kitchen near the fireplace.

Quest: Birdseed
Now drive Mallory and go back to talk to Hogsqueal (he's still in the same spot). Go to the cellar and on the shelf next to the rocking horse you will find bird food to take to Hogsqueal.
Then go to Mallory's room which is opposite the one where you started the game with Jared. Grab the medal from the bedpost and the desk doily for Thimbletack's house.

Quest: Fire Salamander
In this phase of the game you will be Simon instead. If you previously collected salamanders in the woods, you should already have one. Otherwise, go to the shed and grab it near the woodpile.
Then go to Simon and Jared's room and place the salamander in the terrarium next to the beds.

Quest: The Knocker

To meet the second Knocker (the first was in the cave near the goblin camp) head into the cellar and go through the tunnels.
At the second large cave (where you previously saw the troll), take the path to the left towards the rocks. Around the second corner, you should find in front of you a crystal hanging from the top and a green light on a rock.
At this point, throw a gobstone at the crystal: in this way a bridge will appear, thanks to which you can collect the metal cricket. Then advance until you reach a hole in the wall through which, always continuing forward, you will come to a dead-end road: shortly before, on the right, however, there is a point on which you can climb. At the top you will find a message. After reading it, turn around and throw a gobstone at the crystal and you'll make the Knocker appear. Speaking to him will earn you more gobstones.
Finally, collect the gnome ring placed on the wall near the Knocker cave.

Quest: Swamp Bulls
As Simon, talk to Hogsqeal, then go to the pond in the woods. Eliminate all the goblins and then return to Hogsqeal.

Quest: Garden Sprites
To complete this quest, you will need to find 4 Sprites and lead them into the garden in the empty birdhouses. You will find here the 4 Sprites:

1. Royal Orchid Sprite: you will catch it using the fruit entered the wood through the hole;
2. Flower Head Sprite: once the first has been found, always in the same place, the second will appear;
3. Flower Winged Sprite: in the tunnels, on the rock, which you will access by crossing the crystal bridge (use the fruit to lure the Sprite);
4. Leatherwing Sprite: On the tree in the quarry you will find a lantern that you will need to hit with a gobstone to catch the last Sprite near the water.

Once the four Sprites are gathered, lead them to the birdhouses, and finally, go talk to them.

Quest: Sprite race
Talk to the Flower-Winged Sprite again near the Hogsqeals tree, and to win the race, you'll need a Flower-Winged Sprite.
The race will take place around the villa (clockwise) up to the front gate. On the way you should pass blue lights. As a reward, you will get some slingshot ammo and fruit.

Quest: Decorate Birdhouse
Below is a list of all the items in the birdhouse and where they are located:

1. Cockroaches: as Thimbletack, eliminate the cockroaches;
2. Old coin: in the middle of the lawn behind the bushes near the Stray Sod;
3. Pocket watch: in the water in the quarry behind the wooden planks;
4. Christmas lights: in the garage;
5. Pastel colors: in the cellar next to the stairs;
6. Postage stamp: in the Thimbletack quest “Acorn in safe” on the lowest shelf of the library;
7. Playing cards: in the quarry, behind the wooden planks, once the bridge has been lowered;
8. Old coin: on top of the trunk next to the pond in the woods;
9. Old coin: in the small space behind the bushes near the Stray Sod in the woods next to the oak in the direction of the tunnels;
10. Fencing medal: in Mallory's room (on the bed post);
11. Centrino: still in Mallory's room on the desk;
12. Metal cricket: in the tunnels on the rock, after crossing the crystal bridge;
13. Toy soldier: in the garden of the house, on the dead-end path, between the old hut and the garden.

Quest: Cockatrice

1. Basilisk Feather: In the lawn, behind the bush next to the Stray Sod on the right (when entering from the direction of the house);
2. Stone mouse: the first time you enter the woods, you have to push down the log so that it acts as a bridge (nearby you will find the mouse);
3. Stone lizard: at the entrance to the tunnel near the oak;
4. Stone bird: near the oak in the direction of the tunnels;
5. Stone frog: in the pond under the trunk in the deep forest.

Quest: Treefolk
1. Cypress leaf: at the pond near the cypress tree after having tamed the griffon vulture;
2. Oak leaf: next to the oak after using it for the first time.

Quest: Griffin
1. Griffin Feather: On a rock in the water in the quarry after clearing all the goblins in the field.

Quest: the Phoenix
1. Phoenix eggshell: the narrow path with no way out in the middle of the three entrances to the wood;
2. Feather of phoenix: in the woods on the path that goes around the oak.

Quest: Dwarves
1. Metal Leaf: Goblin camp near the fire camp;
2. Metal cricket: on the rocks in the tunnels after crossing the crystal bridge;
3. Dwarven's Ring: In the tunnels tucked into the wall next to the pixie's mine.

Quest: Elves
1. Elven Basket: after entering the woods through the hole on the right next to the path;
2. Elfshot: at the pond in the woods, along the path to the oak tree on the right.

Quest: A visitor
The last quest will unlock once all the others have finished and all the Sprites have been found. Finally, head to the front porch and watch the final scene.
