The complete solution of Gothic

Please note:

The solution is based on the American version of the game, so there may be differences for the Spanish version.

The beginning

At the beginning of the game you will not have any equipment, and you will be faced with a bearded man, Diego, who will give you some indications. Like you, Diego comes from Old City, an important town where a magic stone is extracted, the fragments of which are used as money. Diego will tell you that the fire wizards live near the castle, in Old City, and that you have to go find them, and then he will leave. Follow him along the road to the town, picking up the ice ax near the mine entrance and an old sword by the side of the road; do not try to venture alone against the monsters in the vicinity as at your level you would be easily killed. Once you get in front of the city guards, tell them you are there to meet Diego. You can also fight them if you want, but you will be easily defeated.

Old city

The residence of the fire wizards is located as mentioned in the inner city, near the castle. Unfortunately the guards won't let you in; no problem, talk to Thorus, a man in armor, and he will tell you that you can enter if you put yourself in Gomez's service. But Gomez won't accept you until you prove your worth; to do this you will have to get Diego's approval, who will only grant it to you if enough people "vote" for you; beyond that you must at least have reached the fifth level. Walking around the city you will notice the arena, the blacksmith, where you can buy decent swords, and the market, where you can buy various kinds of stuff. Now is the time to make friends with some people; every time a citizen votes for you, you will gain experience points. Fingers the thief will vote for you if you have learned any thief skills (such as lockpicking, burglary); you can find him in front of his hut, on the left. Whistler, to the right of the entrance, wants you to buy him a specific sword. He will give you 100 coins, but the sword he wants costs 110: ask for another 10 and once you give him the sword you will receive experience. Sly, in the west of the city, wants you to find Nek, a guard in charge of a district of the city, who cannot be found; Fletcher is also looking for him because he has to take over. To find Nek, exit the city through the southern gates, and kill some species of moles that guard the entrance to a cave, slightly to the right. Enter the cave and you will find Nek's corpse: take his pendant and bring it to Sly. Scatty, the master of the arena, will vote for you if you manage to defeat one of his gladiators. Right now it will be impossible for you to win, however, if you challenge Kharim, even if you fail, he will vote for you as a thank you for the excellent match. Scatty can train in one-handed combat if you like. Snaf, the cook to the left of the entrance, will ask you to bring him some mushrooms and insects; he will not vote for you, but every day he will make a stew for you. At this point, Diego will give you a more precise quest: you must bring him a "proof of loyalty". To complete this quest you have to go to the old mine and go back, but we will see this adventure in detail later. Go to Garaham and get the map of the old mine while continuing to insist (you can also buy the map of Old City from him). Dexter, at the market, wants you to bring him the secret recipe of Guru Cor Khalom, who lives in Swamp City; this quest will also be explained later. Now if you go to Thorus he will tell you about a guy called Mordrag, a bandit who has some unfinished business with the fire mages, a kind of messenger. Thorus wants Mordrag to leave Old City forever. Go find Mordrag (you will find him near the south gates) and tell him there is some problem; he will thank you and ask you to follow him to New City.

The complete solution of Gothic

The Road to New City

By following Mordrag you will get a lot of experience without lifting a finger: Mordrag will kill all the monsters nearby for you. On the way you can stop by Cavalorn, who can sell you a bow and teach you a couple of things. Once you arrive at the entrance to New City, Mordrag will tell you to meet a man named Lares and will give you a precious ring to give him.

New city

Once you enter the city, follow the road up to a second gate, near a sort of lake; in the center of it there is a building where you cannot enter for the moment (it is for bandits only). Continue until you reach a cave, where most of the people of the city live; you can find Lares on the left, following the road for a while and making a U-turn. Lares will be happy to receive the ring, and once delivered, you can ask him to join his band of bandits: as in previously, you must be at least level 5. Becoming a bandit is another way to enter the castle, as the guards will let you pass as the messenger of the wizards. Here, too, in order to become a banished you will have to pass a series of tests. On the way to Lares you may have noticed a guy, a Baal Kagan, who sells herbs. You can help him sell them by talking to every guard or bandit in the city; in the end you will earn 100 nuggets and receive a reward from the Baal. The first thing Lares will ask you is to steal all the herbs from Baal, resell them and bring him the money: in fact, you just need to bring 400 nuggets to Baal, no matter how you get them. Otherwise you can pay for the entrance to the building in the middle of the lake, talk to Baal, explain the situation to him and come to an agreement. Once this is done, go back to Lares, who will ask you to betray Old City by bringing him the "proof of loyalty" instead of Diego. By doing this you will receive a lot of experience, but you will lose any chance to join Diego and his companions. However in the meantime you can go around New city and meet various characters: Wolf sells bows and can teach you how to use them, Cronos sells magical equipment and can increase your mana pool and Cord, outside the cave, can teach you how to use one-handed weapons. . You will also find Gorn, a guy with a nice big ax: he will tell you that there is a house you can use, but it is currently occupied by someone. The aforementioned house is located immediately to the right of the entrance. Kill the squatter inside to get the house and some experience from Gorn. Remember to talk to Blade, Orik, Wedge, Buster and Sharky too, it's worth it. At this point, you won't be able to talk to any of New City's water wizards yet, except Cronos. Head back to Old City and earn Wedge and Fingers grades by learning the art of burglary from them.

Swamp City

In Old City you will find another Baal; Baal, Cor and Gar are title in one in the sect living in Swamp City, the Brotherhood. That Baal is looking for members for the sect, and he asks you to join them. Accept him and follow him to Swamp city. As Mordrag did, the Baal will also kill all the monsters on the road, giving you a lot of experience without doing anything. Near the entrance to Swamp city you will find Lester, who will prove to be your best friend in this city. You will find that joining the Brotherhood is another way to get inside the castle, as you can sell medicine inside. The brotherhood's plan is to awaken their divinity The Sleeper and destroy the barrier surrounding Old City through him. This is precisely why they ask new members to worship and believe in the Sleeper. The career in the sect appeared through several stages: first Novice, then Templar and finally Guru. To join the Brotherhood, you must prove to the Gurus that you are a valid element; the problem is that you cannot speak to the Gurus, but they have to. At this point Lester will point out the one near the entrance, Baal Namib; Tell him, along with Lester, about some visions of the Sleeper you had in your dreams, and Namib will vote for you, believing you to be a true believer. At this point, ask Lester to take you to the masters. The Guru here is trying to teach magic to novices; make one of them fall asleep using a sleep scroll and you will impress the guru, who will talk to you (If you don't have a neckline, buy it from Cronos in New City). Impress the other gurus and then you will be judged by Cor Khalom, who will decide whether to accept you into the Brotherhood or not (you still have to reach at least level 5, as always) To steal the secret recipe from Khalom, you have to wait for his helper to go to sleep; as soon as he walks away, try to force the trunk and walk away without being seen. Give Dexter the recipe to complete the quest.

The complete solution of Gothic

Decisions, Decisions

Now it's time for decisions: you can join the sect, and learn magic right away, or join the bandits of New City, and learn magic later in the game, or join the soldiers of Gomez. Now head to the old mine using the map, trying to avoid fighting and not going into the woods at all. Once inside the mine, talk to the people and you will learn about the terrible Minecrawlers, the horrible monsters. The first time you explore the mines, don't go too deep and don't try to fight a Minecrawler; just follow the road until you get to Ian. On the way you will meet a man, Snipes, who will give you 10 nuggets if you can catch Aaron's attention; to do this, tell Aaron that Ian wants to see him, but you don't know why. After that Snipes will sell you a key to open a nearby chest full of useless stuff. On the way down you will meet Ulbert, who is looking for a casket; he will tell you that Alpeh probably has the key. Go back up and then go down again and buy the keys from Alpeh. Now go back to Ulbert and tell him that the others are opening a barrel of wine, and open the chests; be careful not to do this while Ulbert is nearby or he will kill you. Continuing a little deeper you will meet Ian, who will give you the list that Diego requested without asking questions. Now it's up to you whether to take the list to Diego or Lares; if you choose the latter option, Lares will edit the list and ask you to bring it back to Diego.

The castle

At this point you should be around level 5; if you are not yet go and kill a couple of monsters and then choose your side. Even if you remain neutral, by getting enough votes from the people of Old City you will be able to win the consent of Thorus and Diego will make you enter the castle, so that you can join the fire mages. Whichever alliance you have chosen, deliver the letter to the wizard who will welcome you, Milten. You will never know the contents of the letter, except its addressee: a certain Xardas, who no longer lives there. The fire mages will still be happy to receive the document and will let you choose the reward; surely the best of them is the Mana boost, which will increase your mana to the maximum limit. Now you can walk around Gomez Castle a bit, and crack some chests on the first floor of the castle.

Promotion

Now you have to join a faction if you haven't already. You will get a free armor and various people will sell you equipment, or will be willing to train. If you join Old City or New City, Raven or Lares, through Mordrag, will ask you to find out what coast is happening in Swamp City. It seems they are preparing a grand plan.

Return to Swamp City

Go back to Swamp City and find Lester, who will tell you to go talk to Yberion. Yberion is the great leader of the sect, and he is trying to wake The Sleeper, and to do so, he needs a Focus Stone. He has already sent a disciple in search of it, but he never came back. Tell him that you will go find the stone, and you will receive a map. Follow it, kill some monsters until you get to a cave defended by four moles. Kill them and you will notice a kind of stone with four fangs; this is where the Focus Stone is located. Save the game. Nydas, the disciple, is still alive, but he is completely insane and will try to kill you. There is no need to kill him, just retrieve the Focus Stone; a good tactic is to start ranged combat using the bow. Be careful because the disciple is as strong as you are and can kill you if you are not careful. Once you have recovered the stone, take it to Yberion, who will send you to Cor Khalom's laboratory for another mission. Khalom wants you to go to the mines and kill two Minecrawlers; he needs it to create a potion that strengthens the minds of believers so that he can awaken the Sleeper. Once at the mine you will already find a modest group of Templars on the spot; this is because Khalom produces potions from various parts of MineCrawlers. But you must find the nest and kill the queen. Go to Ian and he will ask you if you can help him find a gear. You'll find the gear in a nearby car manned by 3 crawlers, which is best shot down from a distance. Ian will show you the way to a lower gate and give you the password to open it. Going down you will meet three Templars with a name; remember where they are and keep going, killing minecrawlers if you come across any. Get to the bottom of the mine and explore every corner until you find the door Ian was talking about, and a boy named Asghan. Tell him the password, but he won't open it until there are Templars with you; go back to the three Templars you met on the road and ask them to protect you. Two will accept right away, while the third will ask you for a healing potion. Now go back to Asghan and he will open the door for you. Enter, turn on a torch and let some Minecrawlers chase you towards the entrance, where the Templars and Asghans will protect you. Repeat the process until all crawlers are dead. Now save your game, re-enter the quarry and go find the queen. Kill her (the arrows seem to have no effect on her), get the eggs and go back to the back, talking to the Templars, Asghan and Ian. Then exit the mines to return to Cor Khalom, in Swamp City. If you joined Old City, you can go back to Thorus who will upgrade you to Guard rank. You can also get new armor, learn the two-handed fighting style, new crossbow techniques, and buy various things from the people in the castle. Once back from Cor Khalom, you can choose your reward; Once this is done, you will be prompted to retrieve an almanac in which it is written how to awaken the Sleeper. To do this you will need to enlist Talas, who you will find in front of Yberion's residence. Talas will lead you to a bridge, telling you that the almanac is on the other side of the bridge, and mentioning goblins in his speech. Make sure you have a good bow and plenty of arrows; now you can use the bridge, fighting two goblins at a time, or shoot them down from distance with your bow. Once all the golbins outside the cave are dead, carefully enter the cave, and then run back to the other side of the bridge, repeating the bow and arrow tactic seen earlier. Collect the weapons of the dead goblins and enter the cave, where you will find, among other things, two chests, one of which contains the almanac.

The complete solution of Gothic

The Sleeper

If you decide to participate you will see a cutscene in which Yberion and all the other brothers try to summon the Sleeper. But something goes wrong, Yberion collapses and everyone sees an orc flee; Yberion is in serious condition, and you will be asked to investigate by Cor Angar, head of the Templars. With the help of Talas you will arrive at a bridge that leads into an orcish territory. Orcs are quite tough creatures and can kill you with two or three hits; don't try to fight more than one at a time. If you are trained enough in a one-handed weapon you should be quick enough to block or cancel their attacks. as you approach the cave you will see Biters and two orc hunters; kill them one by one and then enter the cave. save the game and continue; you will meet Baal Lukor fighting various orcs: help him and he will join you. Head into the room in the center, kill a few more orcs and look around for a parchment, or rather half a parchment. Go back to where you met Lukor and go down; there is a switch somewhere that will open a grid where you can find the other half of the scroll. From below you will be able to see Lukor through a hole: go back to him and he will join the two parts of the parchment, telling you that he cannot understand what is written. Now he will follow you; go back to where you met and he will tell you that he can now read it: it is an orc teleportation spell. Head to the last corridor and fight other orcs, having Lukor do most of the work until he gets a vision. At this point, use the teleportation scroll and you will find yourself on the other side of the wall; operate the winch and Lukor will follow you. Now follow the corridor until Lukor goes mad; you will be forced to fight it. Then go back to Cor Angar and explain the situation to him. Meanwhile, Yberion is dying, and the only way to save him is to retrieve five super healing herbs from the swamp. They are found at the end of the swamp; go to the entrance of the camp, swim and go straight. You should recognize them quite easily as they are different from normal herbs. On the road don't try to kill the Swamp Shaks, as right now you won't even be able to hit them. Go back to Cor Angar, to find that you have arrived too late. Yberion is dead and sect members now believe the Sleeper is just a demon and not a savior god as predicted, and morale is somewhat low. Cor Khalom, however, has escaped with a group of Templar fanatics who want to find another way to get in touch with the Sleeper. Cor Angar admits there is a better way to recover from this crisis, and decides to send you to the water wizards in New City. You can get the Almanac and Focus stone from Yberion's chest, and also a Teleport Stone from the temple, no one will blame you.

Return to New City - The Focus Stones

Return to Old City if you are a guard, and report to Raven, if you are a bandit report to Mordrag in New City instead. now you can become a mercenary, just ask Lee. Now go to New City, explain the situation to Cronos and he will tell you the password so you can talk to Saturas, the leader of the water wizards. The water wizards also have a plan to destroy the barrier: they have collected a magical mineral to channel energy through the five Focuses and destroy the barrier. Give the almanac and the Focus Stone to Saturas and he will give you the map to find the other four focuses, and you will ask to bring them to him. The easiest of all is definitely Troll focus; to retrieve it you have to kill a troll that is near the old mine. Head to the mines via Old City and you will find Diego, who is looking for something too. Kill the goblins around the troll first (don't use ranged weapons or the troll will react) with Diego's help, then, while Diego is busy with the troll, look for a skeleton with a scroll in the surrounding area. Read the parchment and the troll will transform into "mortal" form; kill it to gain 2000 experience points. There is a winch nearby: activate it with Diego to open a gate. follow the corridor to get to the second Focus Stone. Watch out for the harpies on the road, shoot them down with your bow. Once you get the Focus stone Diego will leave. The next stone is the Stone Henge focus, and it's the one to the southwest on the map. The best way to get to this pitera location is to exit New City through the main gate, and then take the road up the mountain. On your way you will meet Milten, a fire mage, who is looking for an orc talisman found in the cave next to a pile of menhirs. The main problem is that the cave is full of undead, with a Warden (a very powerful undead) at the head of them. Milten will give you a single Undead Annihilation Scroll, which you must use against the Warden. Stay close to Milten, focus on one skeleton at a time and heal often; when there are only a few skeletons left, cast the spell on the Warden, staying a little way out. Once this is done, eliminate the remaining skeletons, and go down to the two chests: in one you will find the Focus Stone and the talisman and 500 nuggets. Now go in search of the Cloister Focus, the one to the north east; you will meet Gorn on the road, which will prove very useful against the Snappers. Gorn will lead you down the road until you find a chest that contains a key and some magical scrolls. Go back with Gorn and cross the ravine by climbing the tree, until you reach a gate; Gorn will tell you that no man has ever made it through that gate. Use one of the scrolls to transform yourself into an insect, then wait until normal and operate the winch. Once inside, explore the tunnels until you find a Shadow Beast: kill it and retrieve the Focus Stone in one of the crates behind the beast. On the way back you will then be attacked by a young Troll: let Gorn fix it and go away, then go to retrieve the last focus. Go back to Old City and head north to the orc lands, but instead of following the road, head to the mountains and climb as high as you can; you will reach the ruins of an ancient castle. Keep going until you reach a bridge; beyond it there is a Bloodhound, be careful because it is very dangerous. The best strategy is to stay at a distance and hit him with arrows and spells. Near the bridge there is a cave with a door, and, inside the room, an OrcHammer and some scrolls. Equip the hammer and move forward until you reach another bridge; save your game and kill the stone golem blocking your way (don't use any other weapons besides the OrcHammer to take it down). Keep going up until you see a tall building, near which you will meet Lester, who will join you. Go inside and start killing the harpies flying around, then go right and Lester will climb a ladder; stay down and explore the area until you find a chest with a key inside. In that same room there is a switch that opens the door to a room with some useful potions if you feel like killing some skeletons first. Once this is done, follow Lester, go up the stairs and you will find him on a kind of balcony; Open the chest there with the key you found. Inside will be an item that Lester needs, who will give you some Telekinesis Scroll in exchange, which will allow you to move the Focus Stone. Equip the parchment and go around the balcony until you make eye contact with the Focus Stone; use the scroll, jump down, grab the stone and, after talking to Lester, go back to Saturas. Deliver all Focus Stones to Saturas and you will receive several experience points in return. Now the only thing missing for the ceremony are 12 wizards; head to Old City to enlist the help of the fire wizards. On the road, where Cavalorn is located, you will meet Scorpio; he can sell you excellent weapons and train you in the use of the crossbow. If you prefer one-handed weapons, buy the Berserker Blade, the best sword in the game. arrive in Old City from the main gate, where the guards will stop you; Fletcher and his men will attack you. Retire and on your way you will meet Milten, who will give you the news of the murder of all the fire mages except him. Milten will now send you to Diego, at the southern entrance of the city; he will tell you the story in more detail.

The complete solution of Gothic

Xardas

You will now be sent to find Xardas, the first fire mage leader who left years ago. He is known as the demon summoner and is feared by both groups of mages; to make matters even worse, his residence is in the middle of the orc territory. Before you leave, make sure you have both fire and ice magic, and your OrcHammer. If you previously joined Old City, and became a mercenary, you can now become a water mage and study under Saturas. Now go back to Old City and head south to orc territory, staying close to the mountain and continuing until you see a large tower in the distance. When you get near the tower, a stone golem will be there waiting for you: kill him using the hammer, as you did before, and then look for his heart among the remains. Now save your game and get ready to use a fire spell. Go ahead and, after a turn, you will encounter an ice golem: kill him with fire magic and recover his heart. As before, save, prepare an ice spell and then unload it against the fire golem that you will meet shortly thereafter; once again search the remains to retrieve her heart. When you have all three hearts, proceed to the Xardas tower, where, upon entering, you will encounter a demon on the left. He will speak to you telepathically and give you a magical rune in exchange for the three hearts, with which you can teleport to Xardas. Speaking with him you will discover how Xardas is happy with the death of the fire wizards, and how the water wizards, convinced to destroy the barrier with the magical mineral, will instead only end up reinforcing it. He will then tell you about the orc culture and ask you to go find Ur-Shak, an exiled old shaman orc who lives in the ruins of the old castle, on top of the mountain. You should remember the way to the ruins: climb to the top of the mountain and, once you get there, you will see a shaman orc surrounded by three warrior orcs. The shaman will cover you using fireballs, so that you can get rid of the three orcs without problem. Once you have killed the orcs, talk to Ur-Shak, who will be grateful for saving him and will tell you the rest of the story. You will discover that the Sleeper was summoned by the orcs, via five shamans, to defeat their enemies, but is now totally out of control. The hearts of these five shamans, where the power of the Sleeper resides, are enshrined in a temple located beneath the orc city. The only way to get to the temple is to face the hordes of orcs in the city, or get hold of an Ulu-Mulu, a kind of friendship pact that the orcs respect. To do this, Ur-Shak will ask you to rescue a friend of his held captive in the Free Mine. Now teleport back to Xardas and tell him what the shaman told you; go back to Saturas, but you better not tell him what Xardas told you. Riordan will be there and tell you that Gorn wants to talk to you, and that he is waiting for you outside the city on the way to the Free Mine. He is planning to retake the Free Mine and will offer his help; he will also tell you that Wolf wants to see you. Wolf will ask you to kill 15 Minecrawlers and bring back the scales you find to be able to make armor. Now head into the mines, and once inside you will be attacked by Jackal and two guards; Gorn will join you in combat so you won't have any problems. Continue to enter the mine killing all the guards and Minewcrawlers, until you reach Tarrok, the friend of Ur-Shak; he has been poisoned and he wants you to find the antidote. It is located in a niche in the midst of mushrooms, not far away. Once this is done, Tarrok will explain what it takes to create an Ulu-Mulu: a troll's fur, a Swampshark's tooth, a FireVaran's tongue, and a Shadowbeast's horn. You can find a troll where you recovered the Troll Focus, the Swampshark in the swamp near Swamp City, the Fire Varans near a ship wreck north of Swamp City, and the Shadowbeasts in the woods between Old City and Swamp City. Pay particular attention to Fire varans as their breath can kill you in a split second; fight them only if well equipped. Once you have collected all the items, return to Tarrok and you will receive the Ulu-Mulu; if you brought the 15 scales to Wolf, your new armor should now be ready.

The complete solution of Gothic

The temple of the orcs

Head to the city of orcs, where you will meet Ur-Shak in front of the bridge; he will tell you that you can open the temple gates using the statues on the pillars, and not use any magic in front of the orcs, or they will attack you. Equip the Ulu-Mulu and go around the city, opening the various chests you find; in one of these you will find a teleportation scroll. Far from the entrance you will find a square where four shamans will be praying around a kind of column with a statue on top; taking the statue now would be risky. Go to the temple gates and use the teleportation scroll to enter. Once inside, go through the crevasse and enter the large room ahead, where you will have to fight the first wave of skeletons; Kill the wizard skeleton first, then everyone else. Then go left, flip the switch and enter the next room; the door in front of you will close and the walls behind you will open, revealing two secret rooms, each with a skeleton inside. Kill the skeletons and press the switches in both rooms to open the door. Continue to the next room, where you have to press three switches in the right order, until you see a picture of the room you came from with the doors open. At this point, go back, fight another wave of skeletons, and proceed to the next room; go left, into a corridor that leads to a room with a temple guard inside. Kill the guard and at the end of the room you will find a switch that will open a door in the room you came from. press it and then do the same thing with the switch to the right of the door of the room you are in to be able to exit. Go back, go left and the door will close behind you; moving forward you will meet the first of the five shamans, Varrag Hashor. Kill him and take his sword, which you will need to use on the eird stone to exit the room. Now jump to the platforms above, follow the corridor, kill the second shaman (Varrag-Unhilt) and climb onto the platform in the middle; here press the button to open the grid below. Wait for the quills to recede, go down and raid the sarcophagi, and finally press the green button to exit. Continue to the right and you will find yourself in a room with three switches; press them in the right sequence to bring up the third shaman, Varrag-Kasorg (attention: each time you press a button a lesser demon will be summoned). Kill the shaman and retrieve Vengeance, a two-handed sword, near one of the switches. Go back and explore the other branch of the tunnel until you reach a room with some Crawlers inside, along with a Templar; get rid of both him and the crawlers and proceed until you find yourself in a room with reliefs depicting bows shooting arrows at targets. Go ahead to find a room with normal skeletons: look around for a switch, and once you press it exit and go back through the previous room. Arrive at the entrance, staying a hair on the outside, and shoot an arrow to hit a target and get some spikes out of the floor; also in this case they will withdraw after some time. Go back into the room and shoot an arrow at the target inside the hole in the wall to open a door: enter and you will find yourself in a room with three switches. Here, too, you'll have to guess the correct sequence, and every time you go wrong, a lesser demon will appear. Once you have guessed the right sequence, a door will open, in front of where the Templar was; go through the door and save your game. Follow the road until you find yourself in a kind of tunnel with arches, and then go left until you reach a kind of island in the middle of a lava lake; around it are many rooms with switches and demons inside them. Press the switches to lower a bridge that will allow you to reach the island from the ledge you are on. Once on the island do not try to enter the building from the main entrance or you will be killed by the spikes; instead look for a hole in the wall that you can sneak in through. Once inside you will find the fourth shaman, Varrag-Ruush: kill him and take the sword that is on the altar. Now go back to the tunnel with the arches and take the other branch until you reach the altar on top of another island in the middle of the lava; use the switch on the altar to end up in the room below. Flick the switch on the right and you will go back up, then go back to the tunnel with the arches and take the corridor that goes up to the door you just opened with the switch. Defeat the Templars and guards you find in your way and then check the rooms on the right, where you will find interesting treasures. Then continue on a kind of bridge, where, beyond it, you will see the ceremonial hall; the fifth shaman is inside, but you can't hurt him. Try to hit him and then go back to Xardas. Xardal will tell you that the sword you found on the altar is called Uriziel and it is a very powerful sword; unfortunately it has to be reactivated, and to do this requires an enormous amount of magical energy. The wizard will then send you to his old tower in search of artifacts, while he will work out the magic formula to reactivate the sword. The tower is a half-submerged building in a lake west of the old castle ruins; to reach it just jump into the water from the bridge that leads from the old castle to the mountain. Once you reach the tower, enter and swim through a corridor to emerge into a room full of skeletons and zombies. Cross the room to the chests where you will find some quite interesting material. Go back to Xardas who, in the meantime, has prepared the magic formula; return to Saturas, where you will meet Milten who will explain a plan to reactivate the sword. One of the two will have to read the formula while the other will hold the sword in his hand. Go to the magical ore deposit and enjoy the cinematic; now teleport back to Xardas, as not everyone liked what you just did. Now Xardas will propose to you to create a rune from Uriziel, only, in order to use it, you must have acquired the sixth circle of magic. Once you have equipped Uriziel or the Death Wave rune, and the Ore Armor, head back to the city of orcs. This time to enter the temple you will have to use telekinesis to remove the statue from the column, and this will infuriate not a little the shamans in the area, as well as all the warriors. Once you have taken out the horde of orcs you can enter the temple and go to the last shaman. Kill him with Uriziel and then have a chat with Xardas on the way to the ceremonial chamber; after which you will have to face some Templar. Once you arrive in the sleeper's chamber you will meet Cor Khalom and his followers: use the Army of Darnkess scroll to make life easier against the followers, and have a match with Cor Khalom. Once you have killed everyone, open the five urns one at a time, hit each heart with a sword and defeat the demon that appears.
